Butts, butts, butts! Do you like 'em? We've been talking about them on our sex ed comic that you may already be reading, BOO! It's Sex.

In case you're not familiar with it (if you're new here, hello!), it's a sex ed comic drawn by Monica Gallagher and written by yours truly, colored by Mae S. Keller, and published twice a week by WEBTOON. Four college girls move into a house that's haunted by the ghost of a dead sorority girl named Tara, and Tara gives them all of the sex ed they can handle, plus a little more because hey, she's a ghost, she's not here to respect the limits of mortals.

This week Tara's covering anal sex (my browser history, let me show you it) and Monica and Mae did a bang-up job, no pun intended, with these two little panels about how to stimulate the prostate.

The trouble is, there's too much penetration. Webtoon had the panels pulled shortly after it went up.

I was frustrated, but I get it, and I figured it would make a fun bonus for my patrons... until I realized that Patreon can't handle the penetration, either.

A flurry of emails to my helpful Patreon rep & their safety team later, I realized I could just censor the penetration with a banana. And thus:

(Stimulating the prostate with a banana doesn't make you gay, either, but please leave it unpeeled, and cover it with a condom.)

I don't blame Patreon or our editors at Webtoon, just the societies they function within (American and South Korea, respectively). Either we're as puritanical as a bowl of corn flakes, or I've become numb to how embarrassing butt sex is, or just C. all of the above.

I'm working on a big painting that needs to be done by Friday, so I'll leak it to y'all soon. Happy Warm Week to you, if you're part of Team Spring like the east coast is right now!

I love the pivot from discussing butt sex to a large painting with “leaking” involved 😂

Thank you for sharing the "deleted scene". I was really bugging about missing out on Webtoon lol

You can thank yourself for bringing it up! I constantly forget that some patrons read BOO. :)

Also here to say thank you! I wondered what I was missing based on some of the comments on the Webtoon strip.

I love what you three are doing with BOO!, but I do wish you'd include trans people in these things as well (though I realise you're limited with space, and I don't know how easy it is to research trans-inclusive sex-ed... - although there's a "zine" called "FTW: Fucking Trans Women" which is all about having good sex with trans women, and I've heard good things about it [the book, I mean, but also sex with trans women, for that matter!]). Prostate stimulation is not just for if you're dating a dude - it's for anyone with a prostate, and that mostly means anyone born with a penis, including pre-op/non-op trans women, AMAB enbies, and even post-op trans women, as I've never heard of the prostate being removed as part of their bottom surgery (I say "*mostly* anyone born with a penis", as I'm not fully versed on intersex variations and for all I know there may be a variation that results in a penis but no prostate!). Likewise, prostate play *won't* apply if you're dating a dude who is AFAB - ie a trans man. I know that it complicates things a bit, but the more we include trans people in discussions, the more accepted they'll become in society, and hopefully people (ideally people who aren't chasers) will be more inclined to date them - even if we have to wait for a couple of generations for younger, less-bigoted generations to grow up and replace the generations that currently embody society :p Sincerely, an AMAB enby with a lot of trans women friends <3

Hey Andrew! Thanks for your feedback. These panels were taken out of context from the rest of the strip, where Tara's language is inclusive: https://www.webtoons.com/en/slice-of-life/boo-its-sex/ep-81/viewer?title_no=1413&episode_no=82 Part of the reason I changed that inclusive language in these particular panels was to bring attention to cis dudes, because they're less likely to be open to the idea of prostate play during sex. I could be wrong about this, but I figured MTF trans women are a lot more likely to be aware of (and less scared of) prostate play, and don't need to be snapped to attention about what their butts are capable of. ;) But I could be wrong! I welcome your feedback on this. As for trans sex in general, I would LOVE to know more about it (thanks for the zine rec!), but I don't feel I'm the right person to write about it right now. I don't have any experience and I'm still confused about Most Things Trans, even though I read a butt-ton about trans issues. If this strip were going on for another year, I would want to have an episode or two on trans-specific advice and information, though I'd have a lot of reading and researching to do before then. If you have any other resources - especially clear, POSITIVE resources that reflect on realistic sex do's and don'ts of trans sex - I would be grateful if you'd share them with me!

Aww RIP these butts!! But the banana DOES make it fun, too!
