Daily Drawing - flow, axolotl & sparkly (Patreon)

Yesterday's daily drawing is of Kris from my book, but was inspired by my stiff body and all the yoga I haven't been doing. Thanks (to I think Jasmine?) for the prompt "flow!"

And here's a mix of the prompts "axolotl" and "sparkly":

I mean look at those feather-hair-hands, how could she not be wearing a sparkly dress with those.

Send more nudes!! Wait, no, send PROMPTS. Prompts. Send me more prompts! FEED ME IDEAS. I wanna eat them and poop out more drawings.

It looks like it didn't affect this post! I think if an image is more vertical than square, it's presented super cropped and you have to click on it to see it properly. Apparently it did get rid of the blurry image problem some people were having, but... doing it by adding a new problem wasn't exactly the best approach, eyeroll emoji.

I'm also not surprised they reverted it, I'd be surprised if Patreon did worse than Slack at listening to their users at this stage in the game.

Thanks for telling me!! Aahh I love Patreon but I'm waiting for the day they learn not to throw wrenches into gears only to pull them back out just as quickly.

That they reverted it says they listen very well to their users! Just, in the opposite direction than they should - after!

@Danielle take it from someone who has worked closely with the tech world for the last 5 years, Patreon is better than most about that. Not that they can't still learn but they're definitely better than most.

Yep! I emailed them in October when the change first took effect. I couldn't tell if I was liking something or not (I have some shade differentiation issues/type of colorblindness) until Neal realized that it was changing color and told me to stop clicking it. (Glad he could see it!) Here's what they said back: "Thanks for your email. I'm happy to help with this. I can understand how that would not be very clear. I've shared your suggestion with our engineers, so we could keep this in mind moving forward. While I can't guarantee that this will result in any changes, we make sure we review each piece of feedback we receive. If you have any other questions, I'll be here to help!" Annnnnd...it's still the same and nothing has been changed. Part of my job is UX and accessibility standards on the web, so even on a professional level, it's frustrating -- let alone on a personal level. :(

Oh I'm not surprised that nothing has changed since October. I love Patreon but they're slower than acrylic paint that's partially dried in the tube. Expect changes in 2022.
