Three more to share with ya. Funny how that last one stands out so much with just a little more color variation!

Yesterday was probably the last outing I'll make for awhile; I was hired to meet these three friends at a near-vacant bar to draw their caricature.

They're all English professors at different colleges in different states, and they get together once a year to hang out and catch up. All three of them had just found out that their schools were closing for the rest of the semester; they'll be teaching the remainder of their classes online.

It felt odd to come in and say hello and immediately reject shaking hands with them. I actually ended up emailing them afterwards, to apologize if I came off as aloof or distant; I'm a human contact kind of person, and trying to remember not to touch anyone kinda translated into "these people aren't friends" in my brain.

This is going to be a tough little rewiring for me... but at least it'll be good practice for future conventions! I bet all of us will come out getting sick less often in the future after we settle into this more hygienic routine.

Hope you're all faring well where you are! <3

The Third Illustration

Im such a handshake and hug guy too, this virus stuff has me second guessing everything. I really like the pops of color on those last two. The purple and deep red go really well together.

I know on the past you shared some info on drawing caricature, can you post that again? I'm always interested in trying elements of it but I feel I couldn't make it work right.
