Update number one!! Next few pages will be up next Monday. :)

Hats off to patron Emily Wolf for picking what was in the frame: “An austere woman with a gazillion cats all over the place.” Low blow, Emily, you clearly know my weakness.

(If you were wondering what the $3 tier patrons get to vote on, "what's in the picture frame?" was one of the fill-in-the-blank questions I asked last year!)

You got that book "Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs?" by that mortician lady?

Jamie Noguchi

YESSSSS!!!!!! Absolutely love the colors!

Jessica Bernard

Yay! I'm so excited to read this book!!!

Kenny Rubenis

Yay! I've been looking forward to this day :)

Sara Testarossa

I'm intrigued already! This looks great, it's so nice to see new art of yours in comic form again (thanks for the email announcement). Looking forward to being along for the ride!

Andy Ihnatko

Terrific start! (And I love your choice of camera lens for the top of Page 2)

Terry Peterson

I love the pace already. I assume this will be collected in a graphic novel some day?

Melissa

Patreon'd so I could read this comic! :D Looking forward to more updates.

dcorsetto

A REALLY big one, yeah! I'm expecting 600 pages by the end of it!

Betsy

It's here! Congratulations on launching it. I'm excited for the rest!

Hilary R.

So so excited to see this story unfold!

Converted Victorian office space? All those windows OMG so much passive solar heating. Love the bamboo shades in the bedroom to deal with it and the details on the corner medallions ion the window frames n the hallway. Is the fireplace surround one of the cast iron "kit" kind? I love your attention to architectural detail and the work you've put into that over the past year and a half. Already digging the vibe between these 2 characters.

dcorsetto

RUTH!! Knowing that at least one person might notice the littlest details of the buildings I draw could make me cry. <3 Amusing that you mentioned the bamboo shades; you'll see why later. ;)

Cindy-Rose Onofrio

I love her already. You are brilliant at setting a scene and really allowing us to SEE the character before words are even spoken. LOVE. Can't wait to read more!!

Devin McLachlan

Love it.And is the spider plant a little nod to GWS?

dvsDave

I'm so excited that it's set in Shepherdstown, I went there for school back in 2002-2004 and it was such a great little town.

dcorsetto

Ahh I was there 1999-2004! Nice!

Cab

Ooooh this is so exciting!!!

dvsDave

I remember your comics that appeared in the college paper

Terry Arzola

Hi Danielle! Just added my 2-cents (actually 2 bucks)! Looking forward to this. Hi from Austin TX!

Seconded! Standalone electrical boxes next to the fireplace means no built-in wiring. Slamming the door on the way out but not in suggests an old sticky door latch.

Heather Cheney

I loved Girls with Slingshots so much I couldn't pass the chance to support new content! So excited :) I live in a small rural town in Oklahoma, so seems appropriate for this comic...also your reach is far!

rey meustrus

Loving the detail! The brickwork, the window molding, the heaters, the electrical outlets on the *outside* of the wall - everything just screams "old house". Can't wait to see where this is going!

Samantha Whitmore

I loved Girls with Slingshots and had the opportunity to meet Danielle at Baltimore Comic Con ages ago. So happy I can support this next venture! Beautiful work already!

Ruth Merriam

Conduit and open boxes unless the house was originally wired with still intact knob and tube wiring that hasn't managed to burn the place to the ground. Copper weatherstripping around the doors. Not so much a slam as a body-heave. Our house was built in 1895 and we've been renovating it since 2006. 20 years before that, I built a house with my 1st husband. Love love love the small details.

Kit Sekelsky

Wait, Emily Wolf my high school classmate?? *waves in all directions* Hi, Emily!

NOTA

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Fox

The woman imitating the expression from the painting made me crack up. I'm so excited to see this whole story.

dcorsetto

You should see the reference photos I took for those! Ha!

Brewster Fish

Enjoyed GWS, have reread it many times. Excited for you new story.
