If you're new to the Sneak Peek tier... well first of all, WELCOME!! And second of all, under normal circumstances, I do weekly live figure drawing sessions to keep my human-drawing chops up.

The figure drawings I post here are usually nude (and when they are, I'll put "NSFW" in the subject and tag them as "nude" so you don't surprise your coworkers with something to gossip about).

Yesterday I wanted to practice drawing clothed, casual, seated poses, so I ran a google  search of "friends in the park," which gave me a lot of eyerolly stock photos. But an unexpected theme caught my eye:

In case you didn't know, if you're in the park with your friends, one of you is absolutely obligated to bring a guitar. Every stock photo of "friends in the park" included That One Slightly Artsy Friend With A Guitar. Thus I give you a collection of: Guitar Guy (and one Guitar Girl).

This was after searching "friends at the beach," which generated equally eyerolly photos of people trying to look as sexy as possible, which is decidedly not casual. But I found a few decent shots that weren't forced, so here's a smattering of those.

I think I owe Badass Bicycle Chick a revisit and a pair of curvier thighs. You might see her again. ;)

thank you! I haven't played much with brush packs, i've just been using the standard. but they're kind of lacking for texture, i've been making do with charcoals and the pencil brushes to sort of make my own.

To save time, I ordered a custom rubber stamp with an illustration of an "OK!" hand signal and the text "Yet another gorgeous set of drawings, Danielle!" and now I've got to wipe down my screen with alcohol to get the ink off. I still say it was _basically_ a solid, time-saving idea, given how frequently this is how I react to your sketchbook posts.

And: damn, if that Badass Bicycle Chick were on the cover of a comic, I'd buy it without further investigation. She's _awesome_ and you knew _exactly_ how to draw her.

Oh geez, yeah, Andy, that's not how you're supposed to use that!! You're supposed to stick it in the USB port. Do you still have a USB port?

Andy Ihnatko

Crap, I'm using an Apple product. I bet I need a dongle for that.

I love the way you used the tones in these, particularly with Hair Guy! <3 -j
