12 audio cds, eh? Such a wealth of knowledge!

Fox

The eight matching curtains delighted me. Great Easter egg.

Sarah Puls

"8 matching curtains" 🤣🤣🤣

NJGR

But what could possibly be wrong with this book, Danielle? It sounds like exactly what he wants! What could be wrong with that? - - Neal

Jessica Bernard

I've never understood self help books. They all seem so, hokey.

daniel tal

Is the eight matching curtains thing related to Girls with Slingshots? Haven't read it in a while...

Dean Reilly

If it was a hundred bucks, it must be good! /s

Andy Ihnatko

Geez, I can totally understand his shock at the price. Why the hell is it so much more expensive in Canada?

Jon Guyer

A lot of inventory gets lost to polar bears

Sarah Manx

This reminds me of my favorite entertaining used book buy I every made: a Y2K preparation guide that I got for $2. It does stuff like list out every kind of bean in existence as part of a preparation grocery list, and has a "further resources" section with prepper videos on the subject listed at $49.95. ...There were an ASTOUNDING number of resources produced on the subject that retailed for ridiculous prices.

Martin

I think it might be a future reference for the woman in Chapter 1 (sorry, can't remember her name) who needs curtains because the neighbour can see in.

Nobilis Reed (personal)

Back in the day, audiobooks were EXPENSIVE. Generally, they were only purchased by libraries and schools. --N

Zombicatures by Stan Yan

Audiobooks ARE still expensive. It's not unusual for them to be $30-50 still, and this is just for download... no discs.

Zombicatures by Stan Yan

I haven't seen any of my books get this treatment in the resell bin, but I have seen some of my books on the 50% off bin. I'm okay with that.

dcorsetto

I can't tell you how happy I was to read that someone caught that!

dcorsetto

Let's be real about the problem, polar bears are straight-up stealing parcels, especially audiobooks.

dcorsetto

This sounds like the best $2 you've ever spent and I'm not even *bean* facetious.

dcorsetto

I WORKED REAL HARD ON THAT!! Also I'm morally exhausted by the research that went into it. :P

Ruth Merriam

Perfect! I can't wait to see what he's like with lacquered-on delusions of self-grandeur.

Hugh Eckert

And they don't care about glitter or fart spray, so I don't think Mark Rober can help here.

Hugh Eckert

"It's evil, don't touch it!"

kaitou

Foreshadowing? (Or, in this case, forecurtaining?)

Chris Kalin

Frank "T. J." Mackey, please pick up the white courtesy phone...

dcorsetto

I had to look that up and now Magnolia is DEFINITELY on my to-watch list.

Ralph

If you are serious about audio books you have to have an annual Audible membership. Then you them about about $12 each.

Dean Reilly

The real issue is Amazon's continuing refusal to accept payment in either honey or fresh salmon. How else are those bears meant to obtain reading material for those long winter nights?

Janne Peltonen

Oh dear. This is like watching the point of no return on a journey that's not going to end well at all.

Sarah Manx

That is *exactly* how I always describe it. 😂 (And now I'm going to have to amend the pun, because how can I not?!)

Chris Kalin

I actually hated the movie (and not for the reason everyone assumes), but many many people liked it, so yeah, give it a watch. :)

Color Theory

I bet he can get at least $50 for it on eBay

Theadora

...well, she kind of wants curtains so the neighbor doesn't see her shadow... ;-)

Theadora

::spoiler:: That is *exactly* what it is. ::bleah::

Beth A. Kaplan

It's not one of those "I Can Teach You How Pick Up Women and Get Laid" books is it? Eesh.

Bailey Doolittle

Hey! I see those 8 matching curtains for 11 dollars!!
