Today was CCS's last figure drawing Wednesday class for the semester! If they do more Zoom-ed classes next year, I'm hoping I can still dip in to practice with them. :)

Mathew New returned to do some short poses & clothed poses. I was going to switch it up and do some watercolor after being inspired by my pal Dan Berry's drawings of Mathew a few days ago, but figured it'd be better practice to use a fast, easy medium that I can layer, so that I could focus on practicing fabric folds, something I need more experience with!

But first, nude fast poses of course:

Last week it snowed where Mathew was, and he was freezing while posing naked. This week it sounds like it's as hot out there as it is where I live (80s), so he started with the summeriest clothes he had:

I LOVED this next one. This hat didn't last long, though. ;)

We wound back down with some gestures. Mathew called these "undresstures" which makes him an absolute treasure.

I always love comparing my final gestures to my early gestures. Scroll back up to my 90 second ones to compare! It's amazing how a couple hours of drawing can really loosen ya up. :)

The trick is to pick the most important/deepest folds and use some thick-ass dark lines!! I was so happy he put on a hoodie, I feel like we're all forever drawing hoodies in comics!!
