I woke up at 4:30 and couldn't get back to sleep!

Whenever that happens I feel like I've got a free pass to do whatever I want all morning (it's not a free pass, it's inevitable sleep depravation, potato potahto). So I finished these two little comics that I started awhile ago.

(Is this just me?? I didn't call my neighbor Cathy by her name for almost a decade.)

Someone has to have made this comic by now, but just in case no one has...

JoMa is just a stunt dog here; she never cared if we were on our phone, she just enjoyed the company. <3

And on the topic of dogs, I drew dog caricatures the other day! I hadn't done a caricature gig in so long! I remembered to take two pictures.

As you can probably tell, Max was the best dog there.

Hope you got more sleep than I did!!

I totally did this the other day, too! 4:30am is the perfect time to pretend I'm "getting a head start" on things* *couldn't sleep because my mind was racing

Stop spying on me. What is sleep? Freaking temperature changes aren't helping depression any, either

MAX! ♥ I'm dealing with wicked insomnia, so I just lie in bed and try to will myself back to sleep... 🙃 -Jess

Max has seen some shit

I can usually do that, too! But we have a LOT of early songbirds at FIVE A.M. and they sound so pretty and awake I can't ignore them. Good luck with your insomnia!

Max is certainly a good doggo, 12/10 would definitely pet, but who is that happy doggo waiting in line? "Ooh! Ooh! My turn, Danielle! Is it my turn yet? Draw me like your French dogs, Danielle!" :D

Haha I tend to go to BED at 4:30a, bc my spouse works second shift, so I feel compelled to stay up with him even though I have to get up at 7:45a D= ...needless to say I'm tired...

As a chronic name-forgetter, my practice is to pick one and call them by it immediately. Sometimes it helps. 😀

dcorsetto

Hooo you are a sweet spouse to do that!

Good eye!! That's Georgie and I am KICKING MYSELF for not taking a pic of his drawing! He was PACKED with energy and needed to go on a few walks before he'd sit (somewhat) still to be drawn! I feel like I got his personality down on paper really well. :)

Her name is Catheter. Problem solved.
