It has to be said: this romper has **POCKETTTTTTTS**

I know I said this would be up later tonight, but I woke up early this morning and got right to work: pencils, inks, colors, all before 2 pm. It's a Monday miracle.

I've started using an old-school clock radio to get me out of bed in the morning, and leaving my phone and its charger downstairs in the living room. My phone inexplicably died a week ago for about three days and then came back (an homage to Easter??), and I liked it a LOT, so I'm trying to roll some of those lost-phone habits into my routine.

Then again, my early rise may have been anticipation of new seedlings popping up in my garden. Have I shared any garden pics with you yet this year? Do you WANT garden pics? Tell me and I'll make it so.

She’s only 20? I read her as in her mid- to late twenties.

Christina

Yes! Garden pics, please!

dcorsetto

She's a very mature (for the most part!) 20!

Kristi Pereira Illustration

Yes! New garden pics!! I live vicariously through you as I kill all of my plants because of the terrible thing we call “forgetting to water them” also known as neglect or even better named “plant abuse”. I also was surprised she was turning 21!! She’s very mature for her age!

Viktor Speer

Same as above - I had seen her in her early thirties and bring on the greens (please 😊)

dcorsetto

If it makes you feel any better, at least half of the stuff I put in the ground never sprouts!! I just show y'all the good stuff. ;)

Bori Vekony

Garden pics please! Also +1 to late 20s to 30.

NJGR

Garden pics! Garden pics! Garden pics! Add me to those surprised at her age! -Jess

TinaFoo Spencer

Yes please! Garden pics! I too would not have guessed 20. Maybe because we haven’t seen her in the right context? Also maybe partially projecting more of my own age and not thinking I can relate to the young 20s any longer?

Cat

Garden. Pics.

David Neale-Lorello

Totally had her as early-mid thirties, mostly from the confidence she carries herself with.

Entropy345

I really love these two and want to see them together. (As in, any future inlaws try to put the kibosh on them I will punch them in the nose.)

The speech bubble outside the door. THE SPEECH BUBBLE OUTSIDE THE DOOR. IT'S GENIUS

"Well, just remember that this is OUR wedding. We can have cheap wine if we want to." This. So much this.

MaryAnne Glazar

Yeah, you can have cheap wine at your own wedding. But if you try to serve it to the picky inlaws you WILL NEVER HEAR THE END OF IT. Just saying...

Drazi

Garden pics, please. We kill everything that isn't a Hoya. They prefer neglect

Bingewatch Improv

I love that I am not the only one that thought they were older than they are. They feel like I did in my late 20s/early 30's. That, and real humans in their early 20s all look like *children* to me.

Joanna

Garden. Pics. Garden. Pics! Whee! And yay for younger-than-expected love!

Hopping on the bandwagon of yes to garden pics! <3

Jessica Bernard

Phew! So glad I'm not the only one thrown bythe age! True, I'm turning 35 so maybe I was projecting?

Deven

I really thought they were in their early 30s. Is this just me showing my age? And yes to garden picks, always.

POCKETS Now that it's warm I STILL end up wearing my pullover sweater bc it has a HUGE POUCH IN FRONT where my phones can go (I do duel Pokémon GO accounts, don't judge me) and GARDEN

Lisa

Love the lost-phone habits idea. Every now and then I wonder "why do I own a smartphone, again?" and (unfortunately) the list of answers to that question keeps growing. It's nice to take a break for awhile and re-learn how to operate without it.

William Cole

Yeah, I would have bet they were older than that too. At least upper 20s.

Scott Martin

I too thought it was late 20s or 30s love.

M Aidan

All the garden pics!! (Erika has spoiled us 😁)

Tim Pendergast

Same here. I was thinking they were older as well.

I use the same clock radio I've had for 40+ years. Nice warm blue numbers, not the harsh red ones every other CR seems to have. Have my landline by my bed, which very rarely rings and usually only in an emergency.

dcorsetto

I was seriously considering a Light Phone earlier this year, but there are a slew of things that we NEED smartphones for these days (parking apps, public transit, QR code menus...) and it's only gonna increase from here! Dammit all.

dcorsetto

Mine is blue, too, so much more calm than red! The landline, though - damn, you are VINTAGE sir.
