Nicole dress-up doll (Patreon)

Hey & hello from Toronto! I’ve been working at the RAID studio alongside my old friend Ramón (remember Butternut Squash?), which is located behind El Almacen cafe (coffee AND comics? Chef’s kiss). I’ve had a hard time getting progress on ET, as my basic maintenance routine has been upended, and I’ve been catching up with comics friends as they slowly pour into the city for TCAF this weekend.

So I’m trying to have roughs of the next two weeks done to share with y’all Monday, instead of just pencils for one week. I figured it might be cool to show you the in-progress pages Monday and follow up with all 4 finished pages the following Monday, since the finishing process is so much easier for me to complete at home.

Which means I get to draw Nicole again (semi-spoiler, because you all know we haven’t seen the last of Nicole), and continue dressing her in all of the ridiculous clothes I wore in high school, or wanted to wear in high school. I think maybe the pink wingtips are a bit much, but then again, what about Nicole ISN’T too much, right? We’ll see how it translates into the actual comic later…
