Anything that's dark and large in this house gets a little extra love, especially at night when the lights are low.
The 18th's comic was a little personal, just for me. I'll skip it for now.
Vintage 80s turquoise Calvin Klein corduroys, be still my heart (but also be still my entire body because they were one shoe-tie away from popping at the waist).
Proof:
If you're ever in Frederick, Maryland, hit up my long-time favorite vintage shop on Patrick Street, Venus on the Half Shell! I've been going to her shop since I was 16 and it never fails to make me regret not buying something later.
(Additional Frederick recs: Cannon Hill Place and Old Glory Antiques, where I went after my Venus trip and found a $2 wool sweater, a perfect pair of black slacks, and a classic softcover edition of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, and spent less than $14 for all of it.)
Luke and I hadn't been to the bath house in Berkeley Springs since before Covid lockdowns! That man loves a spa.
I don't know if other spas are around the same price, but our visit felt CRIMINALLY cheap for what we got. Here's the menu (like most services in Berkeley Springs, you kinda just have to call old-school on the phone like it's the 90s).
If you like licorice and cold fish, boy have I got the place for you.
Tbh there is a HUGE lack of information online (according to my shitty search skills, that is), but I went down a Wikipedia rabbithole, gasping at all the different styles I could find!
(My dear friend Laura Mae Socks has a little EP of covers coming out soon!)
Pang reassured me later that Mazzy LOVES to pee outside, so this was preferable and less of a hassle.
