Fennel only gets face-close on her own terms.

I can't remember if I posted about it here, but after an hour of cutting & trimming bamboo for an hour, my midsection was COVERED in an itchy red rash. No more crop tops while doing yardwork!

(The welt is STILL there.)

Every morning this year I've looked forward to making a daily comic, but that morning my excitement for gardening took over my brain. (So I made two comics the next morning - this one and the next one.)

This took three hours and looks like it took one, sigh. But, it's a start!

I'm a huge dum dum - it's clearly going to emerge in moth form, not caterpillar form. In my defense, I write these before caffeinating.

But! I still don't want it laying its caterpillar eggs in my garden, so it'll go at the edge of the lawn. (I did not kick it.)

Speaking of dum dums:

Toothpaste rubs in surprisingly well.

The spring peepers are out, and this scene is just a block up the hill from me. :)

Pip only joined me for a minute before the movement of the hammock freaked him out and he hopped out, but it was a nice minute. <3

Elephant Town will be postponed for two weeks while I work on a separate project, but I'll explain more about that shortly! I'm hoping some of you will recognize the comic I'm guest-spotting for. Sneak peeks to come. ;)

My parents have given me some rad gifts through the years but this one has never been outdone.

Aww, kitty cuddles are the best whenever you can get them! <3

I cannot WAIT until we can get our hammocks out again! We live in them from the time it warms up until we can't pile the blankets on enough to stay warm. -j

Trust me, everyone who's ever done gardening wouldn't dream of doing that in one hour...

When are you getting a tattoo of a bamboo leaf on your mid-section? I love your dailies so much, but I am a little confused by the Ryan snuggles and the absence of Luke. Feel like I missed something huge.

Phillip Ginn

Toothpaste on the face?! *shivers*

dcorsetto

Oh! That’s Luke; Ryan isn’t in this one, although we do cuddle (it’s the most platonic relationship I’ve ever had with a dude). But I wouldn’t let him near the hammock - he’s a big dude, he’d probably rip it on the first try.

Paul W.

Yep. That my day tomorrow

Thanks for assuaging my completely inappropriate fan concern. 😘

My ex and I used to lie in her hammock and read to each other. It was a lot of fun. (We're still friends.)

The toothpaste almost put me in the floor, but things like that happen to all of us.
