I think Patreon just rearranged the way the gallery/carousel at the top of these posts looks, so I guess I'm gonna repeat the first daily comic down here to make sure you can see it?? *shakes fist* PATREOOONNN

I've been seeking out the sunny side of the street on my walks lately.

I spent last weekend at the beach with my Comics Family (Bill and Dani from the webcomic All New Issues, the Wild Pig Comics gang, and the Comic Geek Speak podcast group), so there's no comic for the weekend because we spent the entire two days catching up. (We didn't even break out a single game! Very unusual for us.)

And I have no photos to show for it! But as Dani put it, when you didn't take a single photo during your vacation, you know you had a good vacation. :)

This is what I do when I wanna unwind, fyi. (I'm sure anyone who's harvesting seeds full-time is not doing it to unwind.)

Suddenly quite grateful for my "this could be used for something else" vessel-hoarding.

I have to bring Josephine (my car) back to the shop next week and I'm looking forward to GETTING SO MUCH MORE WORK DONE.

BYO hot dog, though.

I am very happy for all you perfectly normal people who love autumn and winter, like Ryan. I'll be back to my old self sometime next April, RIP existing without shivering until then!

We'd probably all be a little amazed if we knew how much we didn't suck.

I think the drawing actually doesn't do the photo justice:

Hello I'm Danielle and my bones are made of rubber.

I hope you discover something great about yourself this weekend that you didn't think was all that great. :)

This hits weird for me because we're still dealing with highs in the 90s around here, so I'll go out of my way to walk in as much shade as possible.

Drazi

That's very impressive 👏

De-lurking briefly to confirm that yes, Patreon changed the "top of the post" look-n-feel and it was indeed the right call to repeat the first daily comic. 🙂

Kevin Ruderman

I love the jar collection but I worry about lost labels. Post-its dry out. I'd add some tape. But I can see the comic now: Hey Danielle, what's in the flower garden this year? I dunno, all the seed labels fell off. So I mixed'em all together and laid down a carpet. A few weeks and waterings later ... Dateline Shepherdstown: Reports of an attacking cosmic mutant marauding marigold monster named Zinnia have yet to be confirmed. (I'll leave the artwork to you :-) )

MaryAnne Glazar

Yup, turtlenecks and sweatshirts, but it seems like too soon!

Tim Pendergast

There was a hardware store across from the comic store I worked at that had a hot dog streamer with dollar dogs. Very convenient as we didn't get a lunch break, so dashing across the street for a dog was great. Was so sad the day they packed up and moved to the next town.

Jar hoarders unite! My studio is filled with jam and mustard jars, but you’ve helped me realize I should add some queso jars to the mix; “2023 Hyacinth Bean *MADE WITH REAL CHEESE*” is aspirational 😂

Fellow Patrons, should we band together and get shivery Danielle a heated vest for the equinox? As a perpetually cold person, I live in my Orowear vest several months a year...

Karine Charlebois

I am with you on the whole "it's getting colder, DO NOT WANT". I also have seeds to harvest, dead things to yank out of the garden, and grapes to pick to I can make jam. I don't want summer to be over :(

allanfranta

I am currently hand pollinating my morning glories for seeds next year. A Q tip works great. A month (or so) ago, I saw this really large... bee? wasp? ravaging my morning glories, just tearing them up! Bumblebees (and other, smaller, bees) just crawl in and go about their business without destroying the flower. It took me a week of no bees to realize whatever it was was harvesting the bees! Haven't seen it back.

Read about a place where the local can easily spot the tourists ( Spain somewhere? Italy? ) All the locals walk in the shade whenever possible.

Minzoku Bokumetsu

I'm reading Alison Bechdel's The Secret of Superhuman Strength at the moment and her yoga classes (among other things) made me think of you! Also, same reason I don't like autumn, it's like the Sunday evening of the year to winter's Monday through Thursday =(

dcorsetto

I meant to tell you, THANK YOU for confirming that! I have access to some of their beta stuff and I never know what I'm seeing vs. what others are seeing.

dcorsetto

Add this to the list of things I didn't know existed! <3 Don't worry, I've got an amazing collection of very warm stuff ready to protect my dumb little bone body.

dcorsetto

Ooohh I read that this year and loved it! I'm looking forward to a re-read. A LOT of that book resonated with me so you're spot on. :) Hope you're enjoying it! The "Sunday evening of the year to winter's Monday" got me! IT ISSSSSSSS<- shivering chattering teeth sound

Ruth Merriam

Holy shit your hamstrings are stretchy.

Amy Crook

you're so stretchy! but also i love the jars, jars are so great to hoard. also nice boxes. i have to assume that you, too, have a small hoard of nice boxes. XD

Susy

The drawing definitely did not do the photo justice! I love the flock of little birds on your back. (at least I think that is what they are)

dcorsetto

They are! Back before I realized "put a bird on it" was a running joke on Portlandia, I put a LOT of birds on it.

dcorsetto

With three cats, do you think I'm allowed NOT to? ;) I do love a vessel, and they justify that love.

Hugh Eckert

Great job with the pose! And I also love your ink!

Hugh Eckert

I have only a few birds on me, but a *lot* of bats.

Cathi Andrews

I would happily chip in, as another person who feels the cold down to my bones. Glad I'm moving into the warmer weather down here in the Southern Hemipsphere.

There's an OWNER'S MANUAL? Where do I get my copy?
