Yeah there is such a massive difference between kdramas before and after COVID. Even though this drama is not old, it does still have that old feel to it, from color grading to pacing and music.

Enjoyed your reaction so much, especially to the dialogues between ML and FL and you trying to predict and eventually judge what they were saying to each other 😂. I do agree though, the way they started off is in a morally grey area to me too.. but I think over the course of the drama, I learned to sympathize with the different viewpoints of the characters. Part of the reason why I liked this drama was cause how all the characters have some very real flaws and qualities about them. Looking forward to your reactions to the next episodes!

i won’t lie, i was very opinionated by ep3🫣 but i hope it becomes the same for me whereby i sympathise with the characters overtime and am able to look past certain things

I had the same thought when it was airing. I think that's the charm of this drama for me. This is real people, everyone is a different shade of grey. It could have been easy to portray her boyfriend as a bad guy in the first episodes but he's ok. I also like how her bestie calls her out and tells her directly how she (we) think, specially in episode 2. FL and ML could have handled the situation differently for sure but they are not perfect and that's the point i guess. But dont forget she watched her sister wedding and how it's going, probably played a great part on how she behaved.

The reason I enjoy this directors works so much is definitely because of masterful use of tension. The way they portray attraction between the characters is always great. Like no words need to be said and you can tell something’s going on between them.

Super late to the party, I just subscribed. It is quite realistic the way the main couple meets. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to find situations where the timing is perfect for both people to meet while they're free. In real life, there aren't those ultra-attractive people over 30 who have never been in a relationship until the love of their lives arrives, as happens in many dramas. The reality is that both people have a history and a present that they have to face, just like it happens in this drama.

Actually watching for this!!. It took me sometime to get through this drama and there were so many frustrating bits but i did find it pretty interesting. I'm just done with the first 2 episodes. Going to go find something light hearted for now haha. Oh btw, do you by any chance have "My Dearest" on your watchlist? it's a historical drama, not sure if you are a fan of those but it's different and i haven't seen people watch it. You may give it a try
