Its really isn't that hard to be upfront with your partner. I truly don't get people people that cheat. Sang-yeon's words at the end were too harsh. She chooses her pride over her supposed friend every time. Even with all of her hardships Sang-yeon doesn't have the right to treat Eun-jung like that. That's not how friends treat each other, no matter what.

OMG! This is hitting me way harder the second time around. It broke my heart when she reached out to Eun-jung when she was down, but then she caught Eun-jung at a bad time and they couldn't talk. Sang-yeon was totally wrong to cut ties with Eun-jung, but I get why she did it. It all started in her childhood. Her upbringing - where her mom seemed to like her brother and even her friend more than her. A dad who didn't care. Then she lost her brother. She couldn't get her first love. And now she's losing her mom - and also her only friend. It takes a lot to handle all that emotionally, and she just isn't strong enough. When I first watched it, I could not stop myself from binging it in two days. Normally this is not the type of drama that I would binge. But the writing is such that I just could not hold myself back.

Going through these episodes the second time, I've really noticed how much Sangyeon lashes out at people when she's backed into a corner. Like she says the absolute meanest things to people to protect herself. During the times where she could use the most help, she pushes people away and would rather suffer by herself than be a burden to someone (ironically because of her pride, which she tried to lecture Eunjung on lol, like girl that's you with the bruised ego). Eunjung is the NICEST person ever, and Sangyeon just can't fathom that someone can be nice just for the sake of being nice. Probably because she grew up with very little unconditional love 😬.
