hello everyone, i’ve been curious about this and thought to ask your opinions. with shows that i don’t end up liking do you guys still want to see reactions to it?

on the one hand, i still think it creates a sense of community to be able to discuss shows regardless of opposing opinions. i'm not someone that feels comfortable faking my reaction/opinions for a show, nor that i can hide it well as i feel my face shows my opinions before my mouth could. i also like being able to challenge each others opinions and bring new perspectives to the table (in a respectful way).

on the other hand, of course, it's not always respectful. i know for some people it’s disheartening to see a fav drama of theirs be disliked. quite frankly for me, it’s not pleasant being told that my opinions are wrong or having my feelings invalidated (that’s not to say that everyone does it, but especially having an unpopular opinion to a popular drama can be tiring). i also feel bad for those that pay to watch it and end up wasting their money as i don't give them the reaction they wanted :’)

if we were to put this in place and i don't end up liking a drama that won by vote, i will let you guys know and we would move onto the next show. this does mean that newer dramas won’t be posted about until a little later. as for ongoing dramas we'll just have to take the gamble. let me know your thoughts. either option is fine by me

i think watching a show with you that you arent really feeling and forcing yourself to watch it wouldnt be very enjoyable for us anyways

Okay with both, but if you don't like I wouldn't want you to force yourself to finish it. So maybe if you already filmed reactions to a few episodes you can post it and share your honest opinion about it (you might find out you're not the only one filling this way about this certain show), but after that, honestly don't force yourself.

hmm that’s true, i think a part of me also feels bad about only partly posting of a drama that i failed to consider simply posting a portion of it so others can understand why i’ve not carried on

I came here for the DRAMA! In whatever form it comes! Although, I'm behind most of your shows these days, your genuine reactions to shows to both good and bad writing/moments is always welcome. I'm still relatively new to kdramas and you have seen plenty, so I trust your judgement. Dropping a show should always be an option for you if you genuinely don't like a show, actors etc

You are very perceptive. I think someone who really liked a program and then you didn't would feel disappointed. But they can always wait for your next reaction. I am sure you do would not like all of my shows and vice versa. But I do know that when you like a show that I like as well, it is really fun to watch your reactions. I do agree that if you don't like a show, don't force yourself. That is not fun for anyone. Keep in mind you are doing a wonderful job with your reactions. 😀

I'm all for every opinion and shit, but then i imagine you watching My Mister or My liberation notes and not liking it and that's a different story lol

I think you should upload the reactions you have recorded and if you don’t like it you do a short vid or post after explaining that’s it’s not your cup of tea and that you are dropping it. That way you haven’t wasted your time recording the episodes you have watched. And we all can see why you don’t like a show. This will probably still leaving some buthurt comments knowing people but I think this is the fairest way. However your point on people paying for Patreon for certain shows could be blindsided by this so I think you either do what I said above but maybe make it obvious in the caption that your unsure on the ep (you have kind of done this on other eps that weren’t your fav) OR you just do as you said and don’t post any up

The one thing you don’t do is force yourself to watch it lol

Whether it's a show chosen by vote or one you selected yourself, it's natural that you might want to drop it as you watch. Everyone has different tastes, and that's completely natural and understandable. In my opinion, if it really doesn't work for you, it's okay to drop it. However, if you're somewhere in the middle or uncertain about it, I think it would be enough if you could just be a bit more thoughtful in your decision for those who voted. Whatever you decide, I'll support you.

sometimes disliking a show is part of the experience. Sometimes hating a storyline gets me through and other times im too triggered to carry on. From a viewer experience, if you dislike it to the point its not worth carrying on then drop it and let us know why. Theres loads of great ones out there don't waste your time!

I came here for your reaction regardless what show you watching and how you react to it, and some of the drama you react i have not watching it yet so is kinda awesome to have a new drama to watch with you :D

Everything is good! 😀

I hope that regardless of how this poll goes, you decide on smth that’s comfortable for you! There are soo many shows that are popular but I don’t feel myself drawn to them for whatever reason, and I drop them. I think it’s completely fair for you to do so too? I actually love that you develop a take on shows and you decide conclusively if smth or a character is good or bad or even flawed, it makes for some really interesting conversations! And also, from all the reactions I’ve watched too, you’re always clear with your thoughts about why you like or don’t like smth. I think that’s enough on its own.. Of course, if you’re watching a show and you are not enjoying it or you don’t think it’s for you, I think it’s more than ok to drop it. I’ve done that so many times and I don’t see why it should any different for you. I think, for me at least for sure (and same for most people here hopefully), regardless there’s so many shows that you react to that there’s always smth to look forward to and enjoy watching alongside you. Even in the shows that haven’t been strictly only positive light hearted vibes, I’ve enjoyed how you have actual takes. It’s quite refreshing.

Kaka

I also think you can experiment with it? Like maybe start a drama and then have a convo about how you’re feeling - if you’re not enjoying it or it’s not your cup of tea, you can just table it. I really think people wouldn’t mind.

Kaka

I used to like One Spring Night, but watching your reactions made me see the characters in a new light too. And I loved how you had thought and opinions and we could discuss it. But at the same time, and I think I said it in one of the comments maybe or I hope I did, I would have been more than ok with you dropping the show too cause if a show was to personally not be enjoyable for me to the point where I’m not invested or it feels wrong or heavy or toxic and I want to leave it - I would do so. And if you’re in that position, I think it’s fair for you too ☺️.
