The music was awkward because there was some tension between hu xiu and xiao zhiyu, she was still thinking of the night when he kindaaa told her he didn't trust her and xiao zhiyu wanted to correct her but couldn't find the moment to do it after getting interupted that night. so yeah he was complimenting her and being nice but there was some unresolved tension between them resulting in a slight awkwardness. (I think u kinda caught onto this later but just in case I wanted to clarify lol)
