I can't believe we finished Overlord 😭 I didn't want it to end. The finale was UNBELIEVABLE and this is my favourite finale!

Renner fan here! She’s such a fascinating character because, despite Nazarick being full of selfish, twisted, and outright evil beings, she stands out in a way that feels almost poetic. Her intelligence, cunning, and complete inversion of the typical “noble princess” archetype make her the perfect embodiment of Overlord’s themes. It’s only fitting that she ultimately ended up there. I still can’t believe the best moment of Overlord Season 4 was stolen by a crazy yandere princess. Just kidding, but not really. Renner is unironically one of the most well-written characters in the series. A true genius, recognized even by Demiurge and Albedo. This was cut content, but Ainz actually feared Renner—not because she was disloyal, but because she wasn’t blindly devoted to him like the NPCs. He worried she might see through his act, simply because she was that intelligent. But in reality, Renner feared Ainz just as much. After he appeared before her, she convinced herself he was constantly testing her, expecting her to keep proving her worth, or else be discarded. Renner is easily one of my favorite side characters in all of anime. When you realize just how much she had been plotting behind the scenes, it makes rewatching her story even more fascinating.

It's been fun, really enjoyed the Overlord reactions! Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom doesn’t continue from Season 4 but instead covers events from the “Paladin of the Holy Kingdom” arc, which the main anime series skipped. This film delves into the Holy Kingdom’s struggle against the demon emperor Jaldabaoth and their plea for assistance from Ainz Ooal Gown. It introduces new characters and explores political dynamics within the Holy Kingdom, offering a richer understanding of the Overlord universe. For anime-only viewers, this movie fills in significant gaps and provides essential context to the overarching narrative. Hope you check it out!

Btw, Mare was crying because he was worried some people might escape, not because he had to massacre everyone lol.

Renner was already becoming the Imp when Climb entered the room, hence the comment about him being the "last human". 12:30 Last episode when Ains said he was going to the capital and Albedo asked "Why?" it was for this evil villain playacting monologue that Ains wanted to do. In the second episode Albedo gave Renner a box but she had to lower her Karma to max level evil to open the box which would allow her to change her class to Demon / Imp she did this by poisoning the stew she gave out at the orphanage, killing her father and being the mastermind behind the plan to desroy the Kingdom. Renner made herself the Imp not Ains but Renner isplaying the innocent victim to get Climb to agree to change and be with her. Renner needs the second box to turn Climb into a demon like her. Now that Climb will be joining Renner in Nazarick, do you think he will ever bump into Sebas?

In the light novel, Albedo’s revenge on Philip was even more brutal than in the anime. She didn’t just kill him—she made an example out of him. After luring him into a false sense of security, she had his entire village slaughtered in a horrifying display, impaling the corpses of men, women, and children on spikes. As for Philip himself, his fate was far worse. Albedo personally captured him and subjected him to prolonged, unimaginable torment. By the time she was done, he was reduced to a barely recognizable, broken husk, kept alive purely to suffer. She saw him as nothing more than a filthy insect who dared to touch her, and she made sure his end reflected that.

The scene with Climb fighting Ainz was Renner’s role play game idea for Climb’s manipulation. She just didn’t expect Ainz to be apart of it. Probably expected Cyocus or Albedo. The NPCs of Nazarick instantly turned against Renner socially because Ainz played in her role play game. The role play game of being the hero (Climb) with the sacred sword and enchantment ring. To save the princess and the kingdom against the big bad demon king (Ainz). Since Climb fit the character of a typical anime hero the writer played with this concept of him having the “potential ability” to take Ainz down. The NPCs believe Ainz to be too high for a human’s game. So Renner felt the negative energy instantly when she finally joined as Albedo’s subordinate. She sees Ainz deciding to play in her role play game as playing chess moves ahead of her to keep her in line. Since it instantly made her work harder for Nazarick so she wouldn’t be hated by the other NPCs. She literally is a character scared of Ainz because she’s sees him as too smart and too powerful. While Ainz is scared of her because he sees her as too smart and not a loyal NPC.

Ohhh yeah. She said something like “just one of things did not go according to my plan”. So it’s this. Damn, that’s a smart move by Ainz. That’ll keep her in check

Sorry but a big Renner fan here.. or even better as fandom would says.. ''it should have been me!'' xD anyway.. yea that food for children may have been spiked with something.. trully unlucky.. also i dont get this.. probably a second thing i dont like about this anime.. how poorly they explain things.. those flashback with Demiurge, Renner and all that are ''showing'' us they worked together with all the plans and stuff.. didnt show anything at all.. you literally need to connect the dots yourself with context that was presented to you by far.. like why they couldnt show Demiurge with Renner in that window.. why they couldnt show Climb in that Entoma.. hologram or whatever that is.. and + the fact god knows how much they had to skip from light novel or manga etc :D surely there are even more revelations and stuff.. overall great show.. nice reaction.. indeed there is not enough overlord i need more :D
