Seeing Paul like that really broke me 💔 This was a very deep episode.

When I read the light novel when this happened, I couldn't sleep that night and felt physically sick lol. I don't think anyone is fully wrong or right, there was a misunderstanding because Rudy didn't know how far the mana disaster went, so he was clueless that his family went missing. Paul blamed Rudy for his frustration for not finding his family, and Rudy brought the scummy actions Paul did in the past, Paul punched Rudy first then he retaliated; this is why I love the series the characters feel too real with real life problems.

Yeah exactly! I could see both sides. Just a very difficult situation. This shows has real life problems with a fantasy world setting. I completely understand why you felt sick after watching this episode. This show is too real and hits you like a truck!

I think Rudy picturing Eris being manhandled by goblins was a reference to the Goblin Slayer anime. That kinda thing, and worse happens a lot in that series.

Unfortunate

Remember that they were near the initial point of the mana disaster. They were a ways off from Roa at that moment, and overall far from his hometown. The disaster took out a huge region, something that would be hard to fathom even from seeing the aftermath of it. For someone that was teleported right at the start, there wasn't a ton of reason to think so many would be affected as well

a think to note about the girl in *very light clothes* and the reason behind this: Her and her sister (the mage who fight with her) have been teleported together, kidnapped, and then repeatedly r****. Since that, her sister have pretty heavy PTSD, and go in full panic mode every time a man watch her. So she dress very lightly in order to attract men's look, so her sister can avoid it. Obviously Paul never touched any of them (between his own trauma and their mental state), so Rudy's remark about how they have *good time together* legitimately pissed him off.

You might have already realized this, but to make one thing clear, if I meet my father after such a long time and I even see my sister next to him.... I would just assume that the rest of the family is with him. You can also clearly see that Rudeus didn't even notice how horrible Paul looked, because Rudeus has been very much focus on his personal issues, so this was a bit of self-reflection he needed.

I know I'm coming late but Rudy dies indeed care about his family but that doesn't change the fact that at this point Rudy hasn't been in contact with them for over 6 years of course he isn't fully connecting with them right away the kind was blasted into one of the most dangerous places in the whole world at age 10 and has the responsibility of not only keeping himself alive but also Eris who he also deeply cares for and bring her home too despite all of that he has reached so far in such a little amount of time.
