New 5e Subclass and Magic Item - Howl Domain Cleric (Patreon)

Werewolves and Lycans are pretty well trodden material in dungeons and dragons. Between different attempts as special species, to Matt Mercer's Blood Hunters subclass, and honestly, I cannot blame them. They are cool, powerful, and have a very primal appeal to any fan of old horror or modern mythology. So when Fantastical Geographic decided to head to a Werewolf town. I had to give it a try!

Pentref Lleuad is a town that already had a lot of call faiths and divine entities wrapped up with it, so going down the Cleric route felt pretty obvious. So many takes on the "divine warrior" whether it be priests, or clerics in different settings, always play with the idea of someone calling down their god to reshape reality through their faith, and it got me thinking, for a people already so wrapped up with changing their forms and identities, would they have an inward way of thinking? It reminded me a lot of my time long (LONG) ago as a church scout, where they taught us that your body was the first place you showed worship. So what if Cleric's of the Divine Howl, didn't shape reality through their god, what if they shaped themselves?

I also feel that while there are the odd spell that plays with the idea of transforming yourself to gain powers, they always fall a little short. Why use fists when a weapon, is usually much better? And the Howl Domain Cleric was born!

I've also included the signature weapon for the Howl Domain Cleric, the wooden sword, The Blade of the Howl.
