I couldn't disagree more with your statements about e-bikes. Sarah made valid points that the rest of us who do not e-bike; it Is about space but:

Continued- There is not going to be any giving up of parking spaces for e-bikes. Advocates have fought long and hard for the space we do have so just as cars have forced every other mode of transportation to the sidelines, ebikes are and will do it to non-motorized transportation. It's the American way. To Arron's point, you say it it is the fastest growing segment in transportation; Ok how many are e-MTN bikes? How many are people switching from Human power to motorized power? The sky's the limit on how fast they can go even though at this time the sky is pretty low. Speed and power are the draw for the bike industry and i am sure they will use it, and consumers will suck it up. E-Bikes are motorcycles and should be treated as such.
