Steran

What a pleasant surprise

Ryuuji Gremory

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.

Tiger95

Subs are a little iffy but tolerable. Very interested in seeing your reactions to the rest of the show.

The_seal_tamer

Might not have been my first pick but I’m glad it’s at least one of the ones I voted on

cj_wheelwright

Oh yay!! It's fashionable, flirty, funny, and fearless 🫶🫶

Cobalt

Oh yeah we're so back

ElectricAnt

Who the fuck voted for this

LordFifth

Unpopulat opinion probably, but I didn't like this show, got bored after 5 episodes.

Mallow

.......

DOKE_HYOU

CH

HOOOOOLLYYYYY SHIIIIT

Verkano

lets gooo one of the best romcom/slice of life in the last few years

A Humpier Rogue

I had been avoiding this show since it didn't interest me, but I will let Tee guide me.

Miyokichi

Tee probably chose this show himself, because it's not possible that this show actually won the poll😅

shojo sommelier

Yayyy, I'm so happy you're reacting to this!!! I know I'm probably in the minority here but I think this show is soo adorable, it reminds me of my first high school romance! Its also incredibly well animated with a lot of great character acting, 10/10

Zairaner

well, oof, there was so much good shit on the poll. But at the very least, this definitely fits the "something light" that teeaboo wanted, unlike alot of the other options!

smth positive_

I’ve never been interested in this show but I might start watching it once there’s more reaction since it could be funny seeing you react to it. I watched your fire force reactions recently and they were very entertaining to say the least 😂

Hello

I feel like I can only enjoy high school romcoms if they're a parody nowadays. I didn't hate this show but not really something id rewatch. I hope you enjoy it though. Also any poll results? I was rooting for 100gf.

Lukas denBoer

Man, the duality of man in these comments haha. I really liked this show! It’s cute and funny and has a few moments of real hidden depth.

Nah it did win, he posted the results on the discord, it actually beat out Spy x Family and Lycoris Recoil

ScarecrowGhost

I love My Dress-Up Darling. It's one of my favorite anime/manga. I found the anime first, and after the season ended, I immediately picked up the manga. It's just so good, and I am so glad to see another reactor I enjoy watching the show. Also, I have to say that Marin's introduction is so much more dramatic in the anime than in the manga. If I remember right, in the manga, all that happens is she stumbles and pumps her hip or butt against his desk.

Petersson Silva

Not my cup of tea(pun intended) but I'll watch with you guys

AndrewMV

Just because I'm disappointed doesn't mean I wont give this a try with you. Hope I like it, but most importantly, I hope you like it. Cheers!

mattmallow

This is a surprise. I dropped this show after the 2nd episode, I got really annoyed with it. That being said I'm willing to give it another shot, maybe I was just in a bad head space, we'll see.

TheWaggishAmerican

I have very mixed but generally positive feelings about this show. It definitely fits your bill for cute, fun and light.

Bob Francis

My Dress Up Darling is an awesome, beautifully animated and VA'ed show. During the show's run, one of the side releases was Gojo's VA making Shiziku's dress for Marin's VA. Also, the ED's official video, Akari Akase cosplayed Marin and she was practically Marin stepping off the page. Marin Kitagawa is a fantastically realized character, and comparing her to Nijika is a great call.

If it helps, second place was spy x family, so if anything, we avoided true mid.

ullethebull

Completely get the reasoning for a lighter show even though I didnt vote for it. Really looking forward to rewathcing this with you. Espescially with the recent manga developements :)

Miyokichi... please listen. The majority doesn't always know best, but the minority doesn't either. Expect big backlash when sharing your thoughts on the internet- especially if you're in the minority. Keep going strong though! The underdogs may win in the end. 👊

Miyokichi
>>149146265

I'm sorry but i think you guys are getting way too defensive/pressed about someone not liking a show that you like

Zwei

TW: Pedantic rant. Weeb means wannabe Japanese, so referring to Japanese otaku characters with this word makes absolutely no sense.

AndrewMV
>>149273479

The word weeb doesn't mean what it used to, it got used so much it just means otaku now. Nobody uses it for its original intended meaning anymore.

Miyokichi
>>149146265

Tee, plss put Lycoris recoil, Aria, fruits basket, and Hinamatsuri in a poll again in the future 🥹, don't discard them because they didn't won this one

Elevown
>>149273479

No, thats what it used to mean. All language is fluid and changes over time. It is not used in that context now.

Roger Powell
>>149178247

The CloverWorks team really caught on to Fukuda-sensei's love of twisting tropes, so they tossed in a classic intro trope and twisted it up too.

Julian Arce

Yes thank you, I love this so much

Salieri_SG
>>149273479

Do NOT look up what they call cigarettes in UK (That is to say that semantic meaning of the word is never as simple as it's dictionary meaning)

1mikeap4
>>149273479

The original meaning is still maintained if you use the full word Weeaboo. But the shortened Weeb has lost it's original meaning as you said.

backseat

dead dead demon? :(

CH

is the next episode coming out THIS week? I've been terse with anticipation
