The ParaRAID has no range limit. I don't remember her leaving the room in the light novel, so I guess the running was a director's choice

I won't complain about this episode being unlocked for non-patreons, but considering episode 8 isn't, I have a feeling it wasn't intended/isn't very useful.

I thought it was for communication range as well, but knowing her she also just could of started running towards them because emotions.

Agreeing with Appriser--the is not in the light novel. On one hand, I agree with you. It doesn't land. On my other hand, this is sort of a reminder that--however much of a badass Lena has become, she's still a teenager in love and rationality at sixteen for anybody is a moment to moment proposition. Dear Haruhi, I remember being sixteen. I get it.

Also, as a heads up--with a couple exceptions, this is the end of the material drawn from the first light novel. We move to the second light novel after this. The animation team chose to adapt it chronologically when the light novel is anachronic. Unfortunately for the viewer, they opted to leave one very important scene out of the light novel. You'll know it when you get to it. Ask us for an explanation.
