Comments

~F~N~

you say romance and drama shows next poll? Smells like kaguya-sama in the future to me

LaconicKibitz

Yabai. All bangers. It's gonna be tough. I'd be happy for either Edgerunners or Lycoris.

Mini_Muni

Hoping for Edgerunners, but these all seem good!

仁森島司

We are facing the most difficult choice

Ethan Coleman

Hell yes for edgerunners, an all time trigger classic for sure.

LordFifth

Edgerunners or/and Summertime Render would be amazing

FULONGAMER aka Johannes Bowers

VIVY is my bottom because although I know it will look stunning, it somehow never rose to the "watch now" peg, on the later-list. Lycoris is fun, will spark furious debate on political aspects of things presented , and interpersonal and psychological breakdowns for all involved. It struck me as an update to the Gunslinger Girl concept with a little Leverage sauce on top. Summertime Rendering is big-brain fun and felt like a happy love child of Higurashi and Re:Zero, a bizarre pairing to be sure but here IT WORKS. It is a shame a show this good hides behind the MouseHouse's insane region lock. (thank you 9anime). Edgerunners is top tier DUB gold and the only way to capture the OG TTRPG language the SUB fails. This is literally a TTRPG acted out like VoxMachina was in universe.

AndrewMV

Has Tee said anything about Arcane at all? It is never happening right ( ╥ω╥ )

Sven Hegenbart

Honestly all great shows but interessted the most in his though of Lycoris.

Joshua10red

Summer Time Render is my best anime from 2022 so far. Vivy was a good show, worth it. Edgrunners didn't watched yet. Lycoris is in my top 3 worst anime of 2022 so.. Nah

Bluestar

If Edgerunners wins I vote for the dub, it just goes hard.

DestructoDiscman

I'm rooting for Edgerunners, but honestly all of these are good to great. You can't go wrong on this poll

Having played the game it felt weird to experience the world in any other language. It just feels right for it to be in English

LAMPOON MAN
>>93154710

I think he said that he didn't want to risk falling back into his LoL addiction by watching Arcane

LAMPOON MAN
>>93157830

I also agree as someone who's played the game, but I wonder if the in-world jargon might be too confusing for someone who's approaching the show with only it as a framework of reference.

Julias
>>93157830

Nah, having never played the game i picked up on the jargon really quickly

DestructoDiscman
>>93157830

I hadn't played the game, and some of it was confusing at first but you pick it up pretty quickly

Strange

Tee, I am seconding watching the dub. It's really good and fits in much better with the world. Entirely up to you though.

AndrewMV
>>93157830

Well it takes place in future USA and stuff but i still watched it in japanese :P

AndrewMV
>>93154710

Well that's absurd. Consuming one thing doesn't make you want to consume the other. Arcane didn't make me wanna play LoL the same way Edgerunners didn't make me wanna play CyberPunk. Hopefully one day he does cuz Arcane its ridiculously good.

Kenju Storm

Yeah the Dub for Edgerunners is the way to go

backseat

I feel like Summer time render is more of a binge show than a weekly show

StoneColdLemonade

Honestly Summertime Rendering was such an incredible anime from all standpoints, I really hope it gets the win

Julian Arce

this was painful, so much awesome stuff that I´ve seen or want to see

the anime adaption quality was a little disappointing at some points, the original material is just amazing

Just because a show doesn't effect you a certain way doesn't mean it can't/won't do so for another.

PhantomICE87

Is the 86 video deleted I cant find the reaction

How can anyone hate Lycoris? It has some of the best banter voice acting I've ever heard. I really like that they recorded the dialog first together and then animated it, so the voice actors could improvise and talk normally with each other. Whether you like the story or the possible yuri overtones is personal preference but I don't know how it could be in the worst list. It was pretty interesting for anime only and I can't remember any fan service despite the cute girls with guns storyline. I'd love to hear his thoughts.

I also dropped it after 1 episode. One of the most generic and hyper manufactured episodes I watched.
