A New Age would Emerge from the First World War. A World without Kaisers in Germany, Tsars in Russia, or Emperors in China. A World Dominated by new Ideologies like Democracy and Communism. It was Called the War to End All Wars because it was the last Time that Empires ~ True Empires, with Absolute Monarchs ~ would Fight. It would also Determine who the Winners and Losers of the 20th Century would be, and it would also set the Stage for the Second World War 20 Years later.

I am so gonna miss Lili. *sad kitty*

Jesus, it's a wonder that humanity survived. This sounds absolutely apocalyptic!

Jason Fox

Park and Williams would make for a great TV medical drama duo.

This was like two years before the "Roaring 20's" how the hell did we go from this nightmare-fuel pandemic to perhaps one of the most universally jubilant eras in modern western history??

Also, watching this while sick...super creepy

The horror just keeps getting worse! And to think, my grandfather fought in that war. It's a good thing nothing happened to him (as far as I know). Kinda odd to think that if he had been taken by this disease, I wouldn't be here.

Am i the only one who thinks that the last two episodes concentrate too much what the flu does in America while a pandemic is generally a world wide event? What is happening at the same time worldwide?

Fiddling while Rome is burning is a time-honored tradition. And fiddling after it's burned half-way down certainly beats spending the rest of your life moping about it, I guess. And of course, the War To End All Wars is over - surely things will get better from now on!

I was formatting some documents - the employee magazine for the NY Central System (railroad) - for our historical society’s research. It struck me how many men who had worked for the railroad and were listed as serving in the military in 1919 and had died of disease (influenza) and not battlefield injuries. Every facet of society felt an impact from the epidemic 😷. This nice series of history lessons on Extra History is what got me to subscribe and become a patron. Keep up your great work! 👏👏👏
