Notch: "I refuse to let Leo take my spot as baby 😭 I'm still the baby!"

Notch has been extra clingy with me since Leo arrived. And she HATES Leo 😆 She’s so jealous

Notch is beautiful and shouldn't have any fear that she will ever be replaced or overlooked. All the SAF residents are loved and treasured!

My cat was all lovey to my old collie that passed away. He was already part of the family when she brought in as a 6 week old kitten, and he passed when when she was 3 years old. Then, when a "new" collie "took his place" she was all very annoyed (to put it mildly) and still, nearly 9 years later, only barely tolerates my poor sable collie girl that just wants to be friends to the hissy calico furball that tries swat at her face

We’ve experienced the same thing! We had a cat and a sheltie that would sleep next to each other. When the new sheltie arrived, the cat had a brief moment of excitement, thinking it was her old pal. When she got close and realized the truth, her back went up. She tolerated the dog but never got close to it like the other one.
