I've been running this Patreon community for more than 5 years now (5 wonderful years, thank you so much for your support!!!) and I think it's important to keep developing and improving. And to keep a balance between what I enjoy and what you, as patrons, want to see, learn and experience. So it would be great if you could share your thoughts and wishes with me!

I'll be going on a two week break soon (no worries, I have lots of videos lined up for you, so you won't notice a thing), so I'll have time to think and make plans based on what you share with me.

Soon I'll have a new, bigger studio and I won't have to work in the closet under the stairs anymore. I think it would be great to host live sessions exclusively for you. Formats could be 'sip and paint', Q&A's, casual hangouts, feedback sessions, etc.

When it comes to the tutorials, I would love to know if you'd like them shorter or longer or if you'd like more videos about fundamentals or techniques for instance.

I also think the overview post that is pinned to the top can use some improvements, lots of content just gets lost, since there is so much! Some of you might not even know about the Sketching Lessons and Flo's Fundamentals. So I'll be thinking about that too.

But for now, it would be great if you select what you like or what you would like to see more of, you can pick multiple options! And it would be great if you could leave a comment with your thoughts of course.

Terry

I love the landscape tutorials, Cabin in the Mountains, House in the Hills and Summer Mountain are some of my favorites. Study room and the shelf tutorials are also amazing.

Buffalosoldierx_

I would looove to see more isometric tutorials, I absolutely love doing them and wish you had more of them online 🤗

Bubble Dingus

I love the landscape tutorials too. I would also love to see more on helpful fundamentals and methods to help someone who is early in their art journey if that makes sense.

Marina Ripa-Braescu

Love the landscapes as well as the realistic paintings. I enjoy the clear instructions and sometimes my granddaughter (11) joins me as well.

Sharon Simonson

I love all your videos! Long and/or short, doesn’t matter! I’d be particularly interested in the creating designs for using with my laser. Example: Creating my own style of interchangeable gnome shelf sitters, or interchangeable parts for signage. Also creating backdrops and digital paper for use in my crafts.

Crystal

I homeschool my son and we use the tutorials for his art credit. We both love the landscapes and I also love the realism tutorials, especially food!

S.Knps

Love to see some more animation tutorials in procreate💛

Sophia

I love your videos, but I really like making people, animals, or landscapes that look like children’s book illustrations. (Especially watercolor or where it looked like it’s made out of paper cutouts.). Enjoy your vacay!! You earned some down time!!💕

Courtney Bryller

I love the tutorials no matter the length 😊 though I really do want the fundamental lessons because I'm not always good at applying what I did in a tutorial to my own work >_<.

Nina Ricarda

I would need some help to create portraits

Inauen Josef

I really love the variety of all your tutorials. Sometimes I feel like to follow a short tutorial - sometimes I want to challenge me with a long realistic tutorial. I have learned so much thanks to you, Flo.😊

Angelika Olszewska

I would love to see portraits, painting faces in different styles etc. Something more advanced 🥰

Lulu-chan

I think for me it doesn't matter if they are short or long. What I would like to learn is how to choose the correct settings, tools, brushes, functions on Procreate and how to use them independently for my own art (so not necessarily to follow a tutorial). And what is the thought process behind choosing them. Tricks and tips would be great as well.

Andrea

I’d love technique tutorials, like ways to get a metallic, sparkles, watercolor, oil, soft pastel, background texture or shiny look one their own, not as a part of a whole picture. Don’t get me wrong, I love the pictures but it would be nice to have videos we can go to when we have a picture in mind but simple need help getting the technique down. Example would be I wanted to do a picture that looked like it was on watercolor paper. I had to go through a video of a watercolor painting to find where that bit was so I could use it. I’m sure there are lots of things like this you could do, maybe as a series or something. You have such a great way of teaching that makes it easy for us to learn. Thank you for all the hard work you’ve already put in and for looking for other things we can use. BTW, I’ve used the sketching stuff for actual pencil and paper drawing!

Dustin McClain

I would love the live sessions, but I'm afraid between time differences and interference with work, it might be hard to work out, so you might consider some kind of poll on times or "sign-ups" so that you don't waste your time. If you do though, it would be great if you recorded the sessions so we could watch later. I would love to see more of your "character" tutorials, when we get to create stylized people. More watercolors would be nice too. The techniques are still eluding me. Lastly, maybe some kind of daily drawing challenges. For instance, the month of May could have a spring theme so each day would revolve around the theme (Day 1-Flowers, Day 2-rainbow, Day 3-bee, etc) You wouldn't need to provide tutorials for them, though some of your tutorials could match up with it from time to time if you need ideas. These would just be exercises to help us keep up our skills. Not matter what you do though, I always enjoy what you post!

Jozie Vang

I would love some full body portraits and male/boys. Could be realism or not.

Roana Voorn

I love portrait and landscape tutorials. But I also would love to learn about how to choose a colour pallet for a project. Or male characters. Thank you for all your hard work I love to follow your tutorials or just watch at the moment because I have an art block 😔. Have a nice holiday.

Melissa Rep

I love the realistic animals like the Tiger and the Horse are my favs! I wanna do the chipmunk too! I would love to see more of those! :)

Lori Davis

I’m having difficulty with the watercolor techniques. I would appreciate guidance there.

Jeanniene Baker

As someone who suffers from adjd, I’d love shorter videos. I’m kind of a “straight to the point” or “step 1 then step 2” person and it’s hard for me to filter out all of the filler conversation. It overloads my sensory processing so much that I have yet to start and complete a video. I’m not much of an artist. I consider myself a “colorist” and as a huge fan of grayscale coloring, I’d love to see or read a tutorial on how to color grayscale images!!

Teresa Henshaw

In addition to the landscape and most all of your tutorials, i live the grungy storybook characters, or the fantasy type drawings. More how to make brushes those classes were great!! You are an amazing teacher Flo!

Nicole Bindseil

It would be interesting to have a video on how to take a complex image and simplify it without losing its appeal in order to make it into a colouring sheet. Can you tell I teach children...haha.

Brittany Dufort

Brush settings and what they all mean - I’d love to customize my own brushes.

Ellen ODonohue

I love everyone of your videos and I've learned so much. I only started a couple years ago, but some of the things like the masks and the layers and patterns and creating brushes still escape me and I have to review. I would love some more basic reviews from you, you are such a great instructor.

Erin Doyle

I would love tutorials specifically for designing flyers & things like that for events! Like the graphic design parts for the background, not so much the lettering or anything.

Teri C Gibson

I would love to see a tutorial on creating scenes with people sitting, drawing hands, and how to use Procreate in editing Ai artwork.

Samantha Kahn

I love all of your tutorials and they have taught me so much. I'd love to join live drawing sessions (or "paint and sip" type evenings) and I think feedback sessions where we got to ask you questions would be wonderfulllll. I'd also love to learn more character drawing in other styles. Also if the artwithflo website tutorial overview page could have a chronological filter so we know which tutorials are the most recent would be really helpful! Thank you for all of your hard work and instruction and hope you enjoy your break!

Paul Naas

Adding my vote to the 'how to build brushes' folks. Otherwise, I think you have a great mix of styles, video lengths, and levels of difficulty. Keep it up - I love what you do!

Victoria McHugh

I would love to learn how to do portraits of people by layering colors and blending like I see a lot of Instagram. And refining the portrait as you go on. I've seen some of your portraits done this way as well. Thank you for all of your videos and the hard work you put into this! I have learned so much from you. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes of this!

Thottagecore

I would love more isometric tutorials! Let's do some Pixel art! For those who wanna learn to make game art! Also fantasy and character tutorials. Like *giant mushroom forest* or *city in the clouds* type stuff.

Andrew Rowe

Hay! Flo I think all you do is great! Learn loads, just keep doing what you’re doing! 🥰

matsumermaid

I especially love your painterly tutorials because I tend to be very perfectionistic and the painterly style helps me to let go of that, so I would love to see more of that. I also like to see more isometric tutorials, or maybe a pixel style isometric room!

Ann Marie Brancato

fundamentals and techniques as well as skin tones and shadows wit layering Thanks 😊

Emma Phillips

I don’t mind short or long, though if it’s long fibromyalgia means it takes several days to finish. I seem to remember easily what you say and do, and understand the art way of thinking! I like your relaxed approach, it tries to help me to not pressure myself too much. I am starting an online digital art course soon, and feel at an advantage from your tutorials!!😁

Kristan

I love everything you do, Flo! Also - I wanted to share something with you. Last May I went on an Alaskan cruise with my 2 boys and I overheard a few people on the deck talking about Procreate and digital art in general. It was a mom telling a guy how her daughter was just learning and the guy was telling her who she should follow for lessons and he mentioned you and I couldn't resist jumping into the conversation. I said, "YES! Flo! She's the best!" We spent the next 10 minutes talking about how much we've learned from you. You have a global following, Flo!

Emma Phillips

Sorry if I loved it twice lol, still understanding typing with Apple Pencil!!

Jessa

I would love some more anatomy/character design tutorials!

Lori Bradley

You’re such a great teacher. I like the variety of projects and skill levels that are available. I’m new to drawing and am interested in brush strokes. I’ll check your fundamentals for any info you’ve already provided there. Thank you!

Bx doc

You do an incredible job when developing the content, I would like to better understand your process of developing your digital art from when you pick a scene in your mind until we see it on video.

Imogen Howson

Ooh yes, me too! I sometimes want to put a character into an isometric room, for instance, and I have none of the skills I need to do it!

Meg Armstrong

A separate tutorial on shadow/shading (such as how to decide where, best brushes to use, effective color choices for the shadow area - i.e. how you choose yours for the palettes you post)

Sal Hernandez

I was going to vote, then I realized I'd be checking all of the boxes and that isn't very helpful lol. Going to second what Jessa suggested above re: anatomy/character design tutorials, however. Whatever you decide, I'm sure it's going to be great.

Lucy

I personally miss the more difficult tutorials. I have learned a lot the last year. Thanks Floortje.

Brittany May

More character drawing tutorials. I'm interested in learning different techniques for character drawing and really enjoyed your two-part one through Patreon.

Jordan Walters

Landscape tutorials that have stormy weather

Alistair

I would like a tutorial that uses perspective left to right or vice versa. IE the scene disapears into the distance at the left or right hand edge of the screen. All tutorials with perspective seem to have the vanishing point at the top of the screen. Thanks for asking - I hope you can help.

Roz Osborne

I love everything you do and I recommend you always. I’ve been out of commission with right hand surgery. Can’t wait to get back to drawing.

Margo | Pixel & Petal Co.

I like how you have lots of different lengths of tutorials. Would love more character/human drawings

Erika F

Portrait tutorials would be great :) . Also landscape (cottages with garden) thanks and enjoy your time off!!

Angie Rosa

I love all AWF tutorials. Flo is very clear when explaining a technique never misses a step and I’ve learned so much. I would love to learn how to make portraits though, stormy weather landscapes and cool outer space drawings ☺️

Jessa

Oh I forgot to mention that I’d like some more isometric tutorials! Like maybe learning how to make other rooms. I also think cute cottages or landscapes could be fun too

Angela Damp

More watercolor and something in an urban sketching style would be lovely. Generally, I prefer the longer tutorials. Just now, I have a toddler and little time, so I use the shorter videos when I can.

Cristina Bento

I would like to understand how you come up with the drawing ideas, style, colour palette etc. e.g do you use photos to get inspired?

glock ortiz

I don't have too much time to watch and do your videos like I would like but what I have done i find to be very instructional and with your guidance it makes it easier

covan

I love your tutorials. I have been learning so much. Thank you for your time and effort. I am very grateful.

Lianne Robinson

I love your tutorials and look forward to them every week. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s amazing.

Shah Areq Mohaimen

i love to see material and magic item tutorial, and thank you for your awesome tutorials, i am learning soo much from you. . .

Christine Van vuuren

I like the idea of variety. I'd like to learn to draw more people and animals. Realism and characters

Alice

As I said in a message to you, my suggestions are coloured pencil tutorials, more character tutorials (like Christmas girl and the storybook characters - loved those!). Also maybe some "super" projects that combine foreground and background elements (like a character in a shop, etc) that take a little more time but teach multiple skills. But even if you decide to not change anything and just keep doing what you're doing, I'll still subscribe. Subscribing to your Patreon has reignited the love of art I had as a teenager, and I'm so so grateful for all you do <3

Staggering Chaos

I love the idea of live sessions! Especially sip and paint! I know it can be a challenge with all the different time zones but would be a great way to connect with the community. And of course realism—perhaps even a bit of surrealism.

Mac

I love your tutorials. I love how you get me looking at landscapes and nature in new ways, as well as how to use procreate to make stunning landscapes.

Laur Montoya

Castles, magical creatures(mermaids fairies, dragons), trees, underwater

Alexandra Stacey

I’d like a video of how you get from an idea (which isn’t a full composition) to finished piece - how do you decide where you’ll place objects and what technique/style to use etc Ps love all the tutorials - I’m never going to catch up to them at this rate! ❤️

miss__kk

More cutesy cartoon styles and a huge fan of the iso tuts!

Julia Friang

Oh yes ! That would be amazing ! I really struggle to create my own pieces because of that.

Marita

Love your isometric rooms. I finished them all.

Pamela Anderson

I love everything u do, but the cartoon, children’s book-style Art and the isometric rooms are my favorite. The little cartoon boy in the woods, the woman w/umbrella in rain in the city, the girl with the flower in her hair, girl with bear hat on, your bookshelves, sunset room, etc….

Frankie

I'd love to have more videos on character creation!

Tamlynn Pretorius

I'd love shorter tutorials for when my little one sleeps and l would like to get a quick drawing done and then the art style l enjoy most is realism. These separately obviously as I understand that realism takes more time. Thanks Flo.

Janell

I love the long tutorials, but I rarely have time to finish them. Maybe just some tutorials on elements of a painting instead of all finished painting - like how to draw mountains in a landscape or rolling fields. Then, we can put together the elements and share when we can. Also, love the idea of lives and sip and paint sessions :)

Kellye Crocker

For some reason, I can't find a way to submit my votes! :D I agree with many people here. I've learned so much from you, Flo, and appreciate the great variety. (I just learned that my subscription is about to renew, and I'm happy to do so.) I would like more shorter tuts (although I love the long ones) and, as several others have said, cute characters and character development. I also enjoy realism and landscapes! (Who knew? LOL.)

Amanda C

I also love the idea of Live Sessions! It would be good for the higher tier to cut back on spammers!!! Longer painting are quite nice, I love the results of them, and there’s new techniques learned! Personally If the video is too long I pause the video and come back later :)

Anand Monteiro

Flo, I've worked through 10+ of your tutorials and I can't thank you enough for being such a wonderful teacher. I got failing grades in Art at school, but with your thoughtful guidance, I'm beginning to get a feel for how to execute an artistic concept. Here are some suggestions for future tutorials: (1) Cityscapes ( I loved the rainy night perspective tutorial). Would love to see some of the bustling, dirtiness of city life. (2) More waterscapes (you really brought out some magical touches in the recent Underwater Coral and Fish Tutorial). Ideas: ripples, waves, and a stormy sea. (3) How to effectively use your set of Brushes. The Painterly brush was just a magic wand, but I look forward to you unlocking more treasures, through a series of tutorials on the use of the brushes. Thanks again for being such a wonderful teacher!

EdithMX

I would love to see more tutorials on cute kawaii styles or cartoon type.

Sher

Childrens magical book illustration

Hanne

I would also really like to have some fairy scenes, like Droomvlucht 🤩 trolls, mushrooms, moss, David de Boskabouter, etc

Donna C

I love it all, it’s all helpful and fun no matter the length. I do enjoy learning about other styles like the steamed mirror. You are a great instructor, and hopefully you can come out of your artist closet soon… he he

Jacob Muncy

I would love to see more realism style in landscapes. I think that this would be great to see how you do it. Also, I'd like to see how you come up with what you're going to draw from pulling references, to creating the color palette and just figuring out how to get started. Sometimes I really want to draw something, but don't know what references to look for or how to get started and it would be nice to get some insight to overcome that.

Saskia Waayne

More Isometric stuff and realism/landscapes. I love your art and find it so helpful to develop my own skills

Victoria Nugent

Love to draw real looking animals, I find it challenging.

Jessica

I would love to see more isometric tutorials! I miss all the room drawings/cafe’s, ect

Dayna Foxley

Your tutorials have helped me step up my game. I love watching Flos Fundamentals and referring back to them often. They are must watch for beginners and great for intermediate levels too. The same goes for sketching. I love the idea of sip and paint. I think that would be fun.

Vickie

I feel like theres been a lot of landscapes recently so I'd love to see more portrait tutorials, different facial positions and poses, characters and some realism. I enjoy the isometric videos too

Fantasia

Your landscapes are my favorites, but I would like to see you do some more anime style character tutorials. I love anime! Some day I want to create my own manga.

Randy Brooks

More instructions on simplified figure drawing, coloring, and shading would be interesting and helpful. This would be the kind of drawing that one sees in a good graphic novel about ordinary human beings not fantasy characters which are over the top in style.

Radical Face

I vote for more painterly style tutorials.

Cara

personally I enjoy nighttime cityscapes and landscapes ^-^ I really enjoy the pinterest-ref style videos where you show how you turn a photo into a drawing so maybe something like that but with a more 3D kind of quality? like corner buildings or something?

Art with Flo

I love this story! Thank you so much for sharing Kristan, it really made my day 😃

Nick

My votes for more videos on technique and workflow to help with our personal projects :)

Michelle

I Love every tutorial you teach, long, short easy and difficult!! You taught me about shading and perspective and much more!! If I had to pick a favorite one, I would say houses, streets with a little landscaping with perspective using one, two and three points.

Steve Jones

Love all the anime landscapes

Amy De Friese

I love the Kawaii drawing tutorials.

Scott Minter

I would love to see some darker themed pieces. Things and places that are a little creepy.

Gabi

I'd love to see that as well! My biggest issue is starting with a blank canvas and coming up with something to draw or executing on it!

Alice Clark

I’d love to have more seascapes. I’m fascinated with the color changes that happen when the ocean becomes waves and foam. Thank you for all your tutorials!

Steve Jones

It would be cool to have artwork that you do over time where every week we add to it

Kendra Barbour

I'd love fundamentals tutorials and realism I believe that although landscapes are fun and beautiful learning core skills are needed for those like myself who are still struggling with some things. Also realism art is something I've and probably others would love to learn. It'd be amazing to have more of those tutorials also

Keya Thomas

Flo, I'd love some more monsters!

Rosemarie Seus

There is a video that you posted a while back called “How to Master Digital Art on Your iPad” where you drew a girl holding an umbrella. I would love to see more tutorials similar to drawing characters like that.

Kariah Haskins

I think a balloon dog tutorial would be fun! Like a realistic one?

Zoe Tucker

Seascapes and fun sea animals

Zoe Tucker

Maybe more story book drawings

Desiree

I would love a anime tutorial and more kawaii tutorials

Emily

I loved the watercolor house we did a long time ago. That was my favorite tutorial!! I would love more like that.

Michelle

I would love to do another pattern!!! Those are always so much fun and I already forgot the steps. I need another refresher course!!

Rubï

Short drawing tutorials that focus on Procreate tips and tricks like the fun drawing ideas post. How to get rid of color to turn an image into a line drawing.

Samantha Rudolph

I love all of your lofi ones and had so much fun. I would love to learn more about how I can come up with my own ideas. Like what to think about when you want to create this on your own for placement and perspective lines-how do you know how to set them based on what you want to draw? I also struggle with figuring out colors on my own, and after I sketch something the way I want, I can’t always figure out how to do my own lofi color scheme. Sometimes I get stuck. Is it possible for us to send you something we’ve drawn and ask for your input? Maybe you could incorporate that into some sort of feedback thing you mentioned in the voting? Thank you so much for doing these, I’ve learned so much from you and get so much joy from drawing ♥️

Niki Applewhite

The first thing that popped in my mind was Japanese art such as woodblock prints.

Kate

Cozy Lofi 💜

Tabitha kaiser

I know I might be a little late to this but I’d LOVE a little cottagecore build like a cobble house with a bunch of overgrown plants and flowers and things along those lines around it

A Lee

I’m late answering this but I love the storybook characters and their little scenes. Also cute animal characters too. And I love the way you teach fundamentals. Thank you!!

A Lee

And more art nouveau♥️

A Lee

Maybe creating a channel for critique?

Lisa Ramaglia

Your tutorials are wonderful but also very fast. I have a very hard time keeping up.

Kacey

Anime/manga more character art work. Fantasy base

The Shyning

Your set up. I can’t get the lighting right for recording.

Barbor Jančová

Isometric paintig or interior. Houses, homes,… u’re top!

Sarah Hardin

Yeah. I’d love a tutorial on this!

Preethi Bosco

Love your tutorials!! Especially the isometric ones! Please please make more of those 😍❤️
