In this video tutorial I will show you how you can create two types of cute cactuses!

I have added the color palette, working file and the Grungy Stone brush which I used for the second cute cactus. I also used the Illustration brush set, which you all have.

I have also added a reference photo with different types of cactuses, for inspiration! You can create lots of different types of cute cactuses this way. Looking forward to seeing yours!

The reference photo is a Shutterstock photo, feel free to use it for practice purposes (you just can't use it for commercial purposes like selling prints ;))

Hey Flo, I can’t seem to get the brush or color swatches. Any ideas or tips?

Micka Vern

Hi Flo, Me neither. I m never able to download it

Jaymie Lee

If you're trying to download on the tablet through the patreon app, try doing it through your tablet browser! thats what i had to do, the patreon app is not very good tbh, i have to log on to the computer to see everything im looking for

It seems downloading doesn't always work through the app, please try downloading them through a broswer, like Chrome or Safari

How do we import them to procreate? Other times it automatically goes there

Micka Vern

Thanks for your answer but it doesn’t work either via safari.

Angelee van Allman

I’m using my browser and not getting a download either.

This is so awesome. I love the cute drawings

Zahraa Khaled

Just finished drawing them...and the orange one is kinda bad 😂😂 but I loved the pink cactus it’s sooooo cute 💗

Patricia

I joined your patreon yesterday and this was my first tutorial with you. I loved it so much! You're such a good teacher. I love when you explain shadows and highlights because I can't accurately do those myself yet. Also, yes to more how to draw cute things! <3

Hello Flo! Loved doing this tutorial. The grunge brush was hard so it was nice to challenge myself. More cute tutorials would be fun!

Art with Flo

Thanks! I definitely want to make some more cute tutorials 😃

Heather Villanueva

I just finished this one! So fun! I love that you worked 2 different perspectives 😊

Art with Flo

Thanks! Happy to hear you had fun 😀 Looking forward to seeing your result. You can share it in the Community section if you like.

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. At 7:55 when I drag in the green color to fill the cactus, it fills the entire canvas.

Art with Flo

You might need to adjust your fill threshold, try dragging your pen to the left when you fill the shape

Loved this don’t think it was meant to take me an hour to sketch something I was happy with though

Denise Schalken

how do i put the picture next to my project???

Art with Flo

Drag up from the bottom of your screen, a bar with apps will show up. You can drag the app you want to use to the side of your screen

Denise Schalken

Its not working for me. That screen thing

Art with Flo

That's strange, I don't know why that's happening. I'm not sure if there are other ways of opening a secondary window in iOS

Thank you for this cute tutorial. I really enjoyed it. Please just be careful with the size of the canvas and the number of layers. Its often that I can't finish because it takes too much layers, even if I reduce it.

Art with Flo

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the tutorial, thank you :) Of course there's no need to put both cactuses in the same file. When you follow the tutorial you can make each on in a separate file. Also, when you can't make enough layers, you can always reduce the size of your canvas.

at 6:52, when i use the eraser, it erases in white. what am i doing wrong. please help.

Art with Flo

Maybe your lines aren't on a separate layer?
