Here's a new video tutorial! In this video I will walk you through my process of painting this cheerful rainbow cake. For this painting I mainly used the Basic Flo brush pack.

I've added the color palette, working file and reference photo for your own practice purposes.

The reference photo is a Shutterstock photo, feel free to use it for practice purposes (you just can't use it for commercial purposes like selling prints ;))

There wasn't that much thought actually, I just wanted something neutral. Could've picked something like brown as well. But there are warm orange/yellow colors all over the cake, so I thought that would be a good start 😉

There seems to be some issues with importing swatches, I hope the Procreate team fixes it soon.

Try using a browser in stead of the app, the swatches file can be found at the bottom of the post, just click it to download it

I always like using the Basic Flo brush because it's a bit transparant and is great for building up color. But if you want something more opaque, then the dry fineliner in the Illustration brush set is also a nice choice. Good luck!
