Time for a refreshing drink! In this 1 hour and 20 min video I will talk you through the process of creating this cocktail.

I've added the reference image, my working file and the color palette. But of course you can also challenge yourself and pick your own colors, it's a great practice.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of your drinks!

NOTE: In the working file you'll see a layer on top of all of the groups, when I finished the tutorial I found out that the painting could use some more contrast (I wasn't able to see it properly with the studio lights) so I duplicated the layers, merged them and then went to adjustments and used curves to increase the contrast.

The reference photo is a Shutterstock photo, feel free to use it for practice purposes (you just can't use it for commercial purposes like selling prints ;))

Guys if you are just starting out and you like this, go for it! I tried it before trying the beginner tutorials and it was no problem. Flo goes through everything clearly. It was fun and I liked the results.

Loved working on this refreshing piece. The ice cubes were tough to do but I am happy with the final result. Thanks Flo, for another great tutorial :)

i could watch a whole bar of these.

Yes, when painting realism I try to use as little layers as possible actually, because it makes blending using the smudge tool easier. It's also just a personal preference, my way of working is of course not THE way of working.

Very nice tutorial. I had some brush issues. But I had fun.
