August in Review (Patreon)

Thank you all for your wonderful support in August and your continued support in September. I would like to take a moment to look back on last month. Thanks everyone for sharing your tutorial results, I always love seeing those. You are all doing great! Keep sharing them in the Community section, or on the Discord channel of course! If you missed any of these tutorials, just click the link to go to the tutorial directly. 

Quite a lot of you have switched to the annual membership, that's just awesome! I'm sure we'll have a great year together, it warms my heart that you'll be here during the ride 😃 I'm sure lots of great stuff is to come! I will be moving to another house next summer for instance, yay! So I'll be creating a new working space, I want to create a nice setup there with proper internet so we can do livestreams. I think that'll be great!

You can still get a 2 month discount if you switch to an annual membership before October 1st! So that means you'll be paying for 10 months, but you'll be getting 12 months  😉

Space Landscape 

We started the month with the Space Landscape video, it was quite challenging but a fun process!

Parrot 

Then we did another challenging painting, the parrot! I have already seen some great and colorful results. It's great how it's parrot gets his own personality.

Seamless Pattern Design 

In this video I showed you an easy way to create seamless patterns in Procreate, it's so much fun! I'm hoping to see more of your seamless pattern creations.

Ice Cream 

Finally we created this delicious ice cream in this beginner to intermediate level tutorial. 

Live Event at DesignCuts 

Of course there was also the Live Event at Design Cuts this month, thank you so much for everyone who joined! It was great seeing so many familiar names in the chat. And great news, I'll be joining another Design Cuts live event in October, the event will be even bigger than this one. They'll be celebrating their 7th birthday.

What's coming in September?

Great question! Lots of stuff is coming in September, first thing I'll do is work on the landscape painting tutorial for which you have all voted in the poll. I also want to paint an animal with scales in the coming month and work on a fun beginner level tutorial. I was also thinking about making a portrait painting of an older person with wrinkles, but let me know if you have any thoughts about that  😉 

Of course I'll also be sharing a brand new brush pack with all Master Students again! And I'm working on an ebook which will be free for everyone, I'm hoping it'll launch in October. Here's an illustration that'll be featured in the book. It'll be about color!
