Hello Flo ! I’m new here and very excited to start learning Quick question where do I get the colour palette and the brushes?

Art with Flo

You can find them at the bottom of the post, just click the files to download them. Do be sure to use a browser like Chrome though, the Patreon app doesn't let you download attachments unfortunately.

Couldn’t wait to start with this one, but unfortunately I’m stuck at the step for duplicating the flower group. My iPad doesn’t allow for me to have more than 25 layers in total 😭 I knew at some point that I would get stuck and now I know I need to save money for a new iPad 😂 Still created a cute bee + flower painting though ❤️

Gina Pierce

made it all the way to the animation and couldn't duplicate the flower group not enough layers :( just when I got to the fun part... oh well.... still a nice class- Thanks!

You can make your canvas smaller so it allows for more layers. Just duplicate your canvas first, so you can keep the bigger one as a back up. You can also merge the flower layers for the merging bee groups, as long as you keep a layered version of the flower for the base bee.

This tutorial was so fun! I feel like when I cropped and resized my canvas, it made my like very pixelated. I THINK I fixed it by just making the frames per second at 14 so it’s a bit faster and less noticeable. Either way it’s super cute!

Marine LARDY

Hello, are you French ? Your name looks like a frenchy name...

jessicanimation

Flo, can you tell us the resize width and height dimensions? I hit the limit at 34 layers.

Chanone

5 Star Tutorial Flo! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love how you helped us get to the learning part of the animation with the generous gift of providing the palette, sketch and brushes. It was also a really cute subject to keep us motivated to finish this project. You truly are a gift to your students. Happy New Year!

Kayla

This was great! Thought I got stuck but then I kept watching and figured out how to resize the canvas and then I was able to complete it! Super cute & fun! First time I used animation assist!

I'm so happy you enjoyed this tutorial, Chanone :D Thank you and Happy New Year to you too!

Breyona Nelson

I tried it but when it got to the animation it was saying something about layers and when I tried to change it cut the bed in half

Be sure to click the little paperclip between the dimensions when making your canvas smaller

Does anyone know how to access the SkillShare? I am trying to log in but it is asking me to create a login/password

Art with Flo

You can either just watch the YouTube version here at Patreon (no need to go to Skillshare then) or make a free account at Skillshare, that gives access to open for all classes only (plus mine through the free access links)

Jay

How many layers are in the tutorial?

Millie Rawks

So glad to see I wasn’t the only one stuck with the layers. How annoying as I felt I was doing really well. What can we do to finish animating Flo?

Art with Flo

I mentioned some fixes in the tutorial actually. You can either use less frames than me, or you can make your canvas smaller to allow for more layers to be used. Good luck!

Millie Rawks

Thanks Flo, can I edit the canvas when I’ve already started working on the bee or do I have to start all over? Sorry for the 101 questions.

Art with Flo

Yes, just go to crop and resize to make your canvas smaller (make sure to click the little paperclip thingy). I believe I also showed it in the video.

Huiyuan Yu

This tutorial is awesome! I learned how to make animation!!!!

Eye_denity

I know I’m late but just got to this tutorial and it is awesome! I absolutely love it!

Sheila Aird

I got to Moving 1, 2 3 layers,

Sheila Aird

when I try to click on layer it wont open up. I can’t separate bee and flower.

Art with Flo

Are the bee and flower both on different layers?

Nathalie Clermont

I really love this project, it was fun. I do have a question, however, I could only get 22 layers in my design (each layer grouped to one item) and my canvas was set at 2300 x 3000. I have the latest version of Procreate and the latest Ipad Air 4. What did you do differently to be able to have more layers than I? I had to lower my frames per second to 7 to have it in a nice flowing motion but I would prefer having the video run longer. Is the amount of layers allowed related to the canvas size? If so, what should I use next time?

Art with Flo

The amount of layers you can use depends on your device, I'm not sure how many yours can handle. The bigger your canvas, the less layers you can use. So you can resize your canvas to be able to create more layers.

Ari M

I had fun with this tutorial and figured to crop my canvas to 2000x2000 pixels and it let me continue to duplicate the layers for the animation. I loved this class!

Tracy Lynn

Whew! Took me a tic…but I got it! 😃 I’m going to give it a second (and 3rd) try to get better with placing my frames so it’s not as jumpy. Thanks bunches Flo for another faaaantabulous tutorial. ❤️

SylVie

Had fun. Was a lot of work. Like always I had an end bug. That’s my thing, just before saving. The flower was deleted on one layer, and well, it does a little jump, before the bee arrives. But it’s ok.
