What a month it has been! For me in any case. Things were crazy with the whole house move. I'm starting to settle now though, things are slowing down and I finally start to have time to focus on new projects again. I think the second half of the year is going to be great. By the way, scroll to the bottom to see what next month's Special Offer will bring you (it's quite a big one 😊)

First let's look back on last month though (click the titles to go to the tutorial directly)! Of course I shared new classes for the Learn to Sketch and Flo's Fundamentals series and we did a brand new kawaii illustration! And of course I saw so many awesome tomato results this month. Great work everyone!

Tutorials

Painting a Tomato

We started this month with a realistic painting tutorial at beginner to intermediate level. Painting food is so much fun! Creating these tomatoes is a great exercise and I saw some wonderful results.

Learn to Sketch! - Lesson 4 - Add Interest

This month's sketching class was all about adding interest to your sketches by adding variety to line weight and adding irregularities. We practises this by sketching fruit and vegetables.

Kawaii Toaster

I can never get enough of creating cute illustrations like this one. I hope you enjoyed this kawaii illustration tutorial. Be sure to let me know if you want more 😊

Flo's Fundamentals - Rocks

This month's Flo's Fundamentals was about painting rocks. What are the characteristics of rocks? And how can you approach painting those? In the second half of the class I did a demonstration. Keep studying to train those painting muscles!

What's coming in May?

Of course you can expect new classes for Flo's Fundamentals and Learn to Sketch in May We'll be learning about sketching different angles and we'll dive into the subject of painting fabric. We'll start the month with a brand new landscape painting tutorial though. I'm also thinking about an extra class about painting droplets and perhaps something Disney related.

I also have a new Special Offer in May! It'll be for Master Students only. They'll get my new Marine Life Brush Pack (not sure about the name yet) which contains 50 brushes. The pack will launch publicly at the end of May.

Don't forget that you can always check the OVERVIEW page for an overview of all of the tutorial content.

A wonderful month and my first here in the group. I like the Kawaii Toaster so much - yes, I will be glad about more in this style. Oh wouw, new brushes! I'm looking forward to this and say "Thank you, Flo, for your untiring work." And all that with a move alongside. We have renovates our kitchen - that was enough to my nerves :D

Thank you so much Andrea :D And yes, kitchen renovations are the worst, haha. Our kitchen isn't completely finished yet, as is our bathroom and toilet and lots of other things. But I have everything I need, all the little things will get finished with time :) I hope you are enjoying your new kitchen!
