Summer is here! My favorite season! June was such a lovely month and I was happy to be able to share some exciting new videos. Time to look back at what was shared! First of all I shared my brand new Pattern Brushes this month, anyone who joined as a Master Student before June 25th got it. I hope you are all enjoying the brushes!

But let's also look back on the tutorials of this month (click the titles to go to the tutorial directly)! I shared a new Sketching Class and we did another still life painting, but also don't forget out Glow Up Disney project and the colorful tiger tutorial. I also shared the very first Customizing Your Art video, I was so nervous about that!

Still Life

We started this month with an advanced level tutorial in which we created a still life in a painterly style, making use of the painterly brushes.

Learn to Sketch! - Lesson 6 - Textures

This month's sketching class was all about textures and how to add them to your sketches and drawings.

Stylized Tiger

We created this stylized tiger with patterns, using the brand new pattern brushes and using a reference image as a base. This tutorial is perfect for beginners, but fun for everyone

Glow up Disney

I have been wanting to do this for such a long time and I got so many requests through social media. This month I was finally able to do it! It's beginner to intermediate level and quite a lot of fun 😊

Customizing Your Art

The first Customizing Your Art video has launched this month! And I plan to continue, so everyone can keep sending in 1 artwork every month through the Discord channel. Please be sure to read the rules at the top of the channel though, thanks! I'm looking forward to making the next Customizing Your Art video.

Assignments and Pick a Ref

This month I shared the first assignment, thank you to everyone who has shared their results. I will be launching a feedback video soon, discussing the common issues I have spotted and showing how to fix them.

This was also the first month you were able to submit a reference image. You may all submit one reference image each month in the submit-a-ref channel on Discord. Give hearts to your favorites and the ones with the most hearts will end up in the monthly poll. This month you have picked the landscape with the moon as your favorite, a tutorial on this is coming very soon! Yourfavorite wasn't picked? Feel free to share it again in the submit-a-ref channel.

What's coming in July?

First of all you can expect the tutorial made from the reference image you voted for and the feedback video for your assignment. I'll also be launching a brand new Skillshare class in which we will create a project with summer vibes. Of course it will be available to all Eager Learners and Master Students. I also plan to make a new Flo's Fundamentals class, this time about painting trees. I also want to make another Customizing Your Art, so be sure to send in one of your artworks in the Discord channel.

Next month I won't be hosting a new special offer, the new formats and videos have taken up a lot of time. For now I plan to do a new special offer every two months, so I have more time to make quality videos for you all.

On a personal note, I have planned to take a couple of days off in August, I haven't done that in over 1,5 years 😅 I plan to go to Paris for a few days, hopefully getting super inspired there! Do you have any plans for the summer?
