During this beginner to intermediate level tutorial we will paint sunflowers in the style of van Gogh!

The canvas we'll be working on is: 3500 x 4000

I have attached the color palette and a special brush pack with the painterly brushes we'll be using. I have also attached the painted that van Gogh made. You can find even more sunflower paintings by van Gogh on this Wikipedia page.

Thanks this was a fantastic tutorial. I just watched the movie Loving Vincent and this showed up in my inbox. Did both this and the starry night and it was such an amazing addition to my art journal. You are a very very good teacher.

Hi Flo, i desperately want to try this but I can’t seem to download the swatches or brush set. Does the file become inactive, or is there a different link I can try? 😊

Betina Kroner

Never mind 🤦🏻‍♀️ I figured it out

This is my second Flo patreon tutorial that I completed. I love the colors! I am a "blendy" painter in real oil colors. The bold colors and dark lines stretched me beyond my comfort zone but I went with it and liked the results.

That's so great to hear! I'm happy you enjoyed it Nancy 😃

I had a BLAST with this Flo! TYTY 💜 🤗 💜! It didn't turn out as well as I would've liked, but not too bad :) I'll be doing more like this in the future for sure!

Wow, what an adventure! Finished it today. Hoping Van Gogh isn’t rolling over in his grave. Thank you Flo! This is bringing me joy!

Just tried this. It was so much fun. I think I struggled a bit with the sunflowers initially but eventually got the hang of the tapered brush. Thank you Flo!
