Here's the first tutorial of the year! We'll create these colorful, magical shelves together. Attached to this post you'll find the brushes and colors we'll use (make sure to use a browser and not the Patreon app when downloading them). I'm looking forward to seeing your results! I could only get to the flat colors before I ran out of layer space. I had to crop almost the entire picture away after resizing just to have that many layers. It broke my heart that I did all that work for nothing

You can merge the layers with the colors, you'll just have to be more careful and precise when adding the shadows and lights. Or you can resample your canvas to a smaller size.

Hi Flo, great tutorial again - you are such an inspiration. I am new by and I find layering masks particularly difficult at this point. Just finished the tutorial without the last step…. It didn’t work so I will need to re-watch and try again.

I really loved this tutorial! I wanted to make another one (inspired on this tutorial) but with different colours (more greens for example). I find it hard to make my own colour palette for this. I don’t know which colours to use and how to make them work. For example: the color of your shelves is purple, but in the final result it looks like brown. I don’t know how or where to begin with choosing colours. Do you have any tips?

I'd suggest going for colors that are close together on the color wheel and try to match the saturation for instance. You can also put a layer set to overlay on top for instance and drop in a color to bring the underlying colors together a bit.

My apologies for my ignorance: Can anyone tell me where to go to actually start this project? I keep getting sent back to pages to introduce myself or read guidelines and such, and all the links go to places where I have to sign up or upgrade my membership or advanced artist pages. Where do I, a new “Superfan” newbie, go to see the video and actual DO the project? Thanks! Also, I downloaded the palette (I think) and brushes and they automatically went into my Dropbox—does Procreate somehow know to get them from there? Or what?
