2024 here we come! Looking back and ahead (Patreon)

It's the end of the year again, the perfect time to reflect. I always like looking back and see what goals I have achieved and adjust them and make new goals for the year to come. I haven't accomplished all of the goals I have set for myself, but overall I look back at 2023 with a very positive feeling.

I managed to improve the way I plan my work and get a better work-life balance. I'm eating healthy and hike a lot. Making sure you feel good physically really helps improving your mental state as well I believe.

What happened in 2023

Procreate Dreams

This was of course the year of the Procreate Dreams launch. Being there at the reveal in London, together with my friend Loish, was really great. There was so much excitement! And even though animation is really nice and the app is very user friendly, my main focus will stay with drawing and painting. I'm no animator, so I will only produce Procreate Dreams tutorials every once in a while.

Brush Packs

I finally managed to focus more on brush pack creation. Developing them takes up a lot of time, but I'm really happy with how the Landscape Pack and Isometric bundle came together.

Flocreate Community

This was the second year of the Flocreate Community! I really love that it's such a positive and supportive space. With more than 27000 members, it grew pretty fast!

Flovember

This year we celebrated Flovember for the first time. It was sort of a try out, but next year I definitely want to make it bigger. I'll probably be tweaking it every year 💪🏻 Just like the collabs with Shoutbam! I love working with them, so you can definitely expect more on that part.

New Website Development

This year I decided it was time to improve the Art with Flo website. I realized it was way outdated and that I wasn't able to keep doing everything myself. So I hired a company to help me out and they designed an awesome new website. I'm going to be so super proud to share it in 2024!

A New House (and studio!)

This year my ❤️ and I ran into our dream house! It'll have more space and is in a bit more quiet area. I'll have enough room to create a REAL studio! I'm so excited for it, but there is still a lot of work to be done so we won't be moving there till June 2024.

Plans for 2024

I believe big things will happen in 2024! First of all the launch of the new website, which will be the perfect place to find your next creative project, get inspiration and find the answers to any of your questions. It's going to make things so much easier!

The other major thing will be my REAL studio of course. I feel butterflies in my stomach when thinking about it. I will finally be able to focus more on live sessions once I have the perfect setup. I want to do Patreon exclusive hangouts for instance.

I'll keep working hard on bringing you a wide variety of tutorial content and I have plans on creating new and exciting brush packs. But I also have fun collabs and events planned again.

THANK YOU

I want to thank you all so much for being here, it really means the world to me. You are my most loyal and special supporters and you make it possible for me to keep creating tutorials and share as much as I can. I can't wait to continue our Flotastic journey in 2024. I wish you a super inspirational, Flomazing and fun new year! ❤️ Love you all!
