Happy New Year! - Year in Review | Reflections, Previews & What’s Ahead (Patreon)
Content
Well, almost as quickly as it arrived, another year has come to an end. Looking back, it’s honestly wild how much has changed and grown in that time — from bigger comics to animations and everything in between.
Balancing Patreon alongside my personal life hasn’t always been easy, but I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together over the past 12 months. And if I don’t say it enough: I truly love and appreciate every single one of you.
Whether it’s been through your suggestions, fair criticism, or general feedback, it’s you who’ve helped shape and influence my work throughout the year — and I wouldn’t be here without that support.
LowFire is just me — one creator doing her best! 🫶
Before we move forward, let’s rewind for a moment. I thought it’d be fun to look back at some of the highlights from the past 12 months. These moments show what you connected with most, what stood out, and the projects that really made an impact thanks to your support.
Let’s start with the post that received the most love this year.
Whilst it’s not the first comic I ever published under LowFire, it’s certainly become the most iconic. It represents a real turning point in my work, and seeing how strongly it’s resonated with so many of you has been incredibly rewarding. What's even more exciting is that your story with Melissa is far from over.
These posts weren't far behind..
I suppose it’s no surprise that my comics hold the top spots for most liked posts. I know it’s the characters and the stories that you connect with most. Interestingly, Independence Day was never meant to be anything more than a quick, one-off comic to celebrate July 4th. But Linda clearly made an impression — strong enough that she found her way back for more… and who knows, you might even run into her again.
Next up, let’s see which posts caught the most eyes this year..
This one was definitely a surprise to me. Maybe it was the cover, description or perhaps the tagged characters that caught your attention — either way, it clearly struck a chord. I suppose some fantasies have been living rent-free in our heads for years, and this one finally gave them a moment in the spotlight.
The Runners up..
All four of these posts were taken directly from my character suggestion threads, which really shows just how important your comments and ideas are in shaping what I create. Your suggestions don’t just get read — they actively influence future projects.
Even Helen & Frozone’s Affair started out this way. It wasn’t technically a request, but someone commissioned the first four pages of Part 1… and I kind of just ran with the idea from there. Looking back now, it’s arguably become one of the most popular LowFire series to date.
Speaking of which.. my next monthly request thread is now live! It’s the perfect opportunity to share your ideas and help shape what I work on next.
The Community Continues to Grow..
It’s because of your support that I’m able to continue doing this, so once again — thank you. This past year has seen steady, healthy growth, and I truly welcome each and every one of you with open arms. It’s always great to see new faces joining the community and to hear your feedback, ideas, and requests.
Of course, with new members also come cancellations — and honestly, I totally get it. Life is a lot more important than sexy cartoon girls.. (or is it? 🤔) and sometimes priorities just change.
Maybe you prefer to cancel and re-sub every now and then (I recognise a few of those names 😉), or maybe the content just isn’t hitting the same way for you anymore — and that’s okay too.
All I ever ask is this: if you do feel that way, let me know how and what I can do better. Your feedback genuinely matters, and I’ll always do my absolute best to improve.
That’s a Lot of Content..
This is probably a good explanation for my occasional burnout 😅. I went into this year with a clear plan, and I’m genuinely proud that I’ve more or less stuck to it the entire way through. Daily posts, a huge volume of images, countless characters, and all kinds of scenarios. It’s been a lot to juggle and fairly demanding, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding. And seeing how much you engage with it all makes it worth it.
If you’ve kept up with everything, you deserve a medal.. and if you've seen every image.. surely no one has, right? But if you have.. I’m both impressed and slightly concerned 😉
It probably comes as no surprise that animations have taken up a lot of my focus this year. What started as simple animated panels to bring extra life to my comics gradually evolved into fully fledged audio scenes and animated sets.
With AI technology continuing to improve, I’m excited to keep pushing things further- refining the quality, expanding what’s possible, and bringing even more life to my creations.
To really reflect how far we've come..
In the new year, you can expect to see plenty of fully animated sets, comic panels, scenes, and more. Animation has become that extra layer that helps bridge the gap between still images and fully realised stories, bringing my comics to life in new ways.
I’ve got a lot of comics planned on the horizon, and they’ll take full advantage of the progress I’m making with animation.
I’ve shared glimpses of animations with my $5 tier patrons, but going forward the majority of animated content will remain within the $10 and above tiers. This simply reflects the time, effort, and costs involved in creating this kind of work. I'll still be posting previews on socials etc, so keep your eyes peeled there!
Old into new..
It’s also been really interesting to revisit work I’ve created throughout the year and give it the animation treatment. It feels like a great opportunity to bring some of my standout images to life in a new way.
With that in mind, I’d love to hear which images have been your favourites over the past year, and which ones you’d like to see animated next. To make that easier, I’ve created a new group chat for $10 tier and above patrons, where you can share your favourite images from any past (or even future) sets — some of which may end up on my animation schedule.
(An example of an old image being animated someone requested)
That brings me onto (drumroll, please)..
Comics are pretty much the reason I started all of this. They’ve been my way of putting my characters and stories out into the world and really bringing them to life. Each comic takes a huge amount of effort to create, especially while still committing to a daily posting schedule alongside my full-time day job.
Right now, life is pretty much work, eat, then Patreon.. so please bear with me as I push to deliver the absolute best experience possible. Comics will always be where I focus most of my effort, and they’re only going to get bigger and better.
I’m constantly trying to improve and make each new comic stronger than the last. That process can sometimes be slow or a little messy (something I’m actively working on), but I’ve got a lot of plans in place to help streamline comic production going into the new year; while still delivering that LowFire magic, only better.
There are plenty of new stories in the works, sequels to some highly anticipated series, and a whole plethora of new characters for you to indulge in. I genuinely can’t wait to show you what I’ve been working on in the year ahead — but for now, enjoy these upcoming teasers.
Just to clarify, although these comics are actively in development, I’m not locking in a release schedule yet. They may also be subject to change. There are plenty of other comics planned to release before, during, and after these projects for you to chew on.
After walking in on your steamy shower affair, Cass can’t get the image of you and Honey Lemon out of her head. No matter how hard she tries to push the thoughts away, temptation keeps creeping back in… and eventually, she finds herself unable to resist it any longer.
The holiday may be over, but whatever started between you and your best friend’s mother clearly didn’t stay behind.
After being teased to the edge and sending Sue a spontaneous photo he probably shouldn’t have, Joshua worried things might change between them. Spoiler alert: they do — but only for the better.
Frozone isn't finished with Violet. Enough said.
Since I started, well.. all this. I've tried to keep my real life and Patreon fairly separate. What you see here is very much the creative side of me — the stories, characters, and ideas I choose to share — while the day-to-day reality happens quietly in the background.
Balancing everything hasn’t always been easy, but it’s taught me a lot this year about pacing myself, setting healthy boundaries, and thinking long-term. At the end of the day, LowFire is still just me — one girl doing her best to create something consistent, enjoyable, and worth coming back to.
I’ve always tried to make sure you get a fair return on your subscription by delivering the best work I possibly can. I have no plans to change tier prices, but at some point I may experiment with taking a single day off each week — just one quiet day to recharge, reset, and come back stronger.
Everything else is very much a “we’ll see where things go.” If Patreon ever grows to the point where it could replace my day job, that extra time and breathing room would only go straight back into improving the quality and consistency of what I create here. For now, I’m just grateful to be able to keep building this alongside you.
If you're still reading, then great! Extra love for you 🫶 I hope you enjoyed this little, indepth look into Patreon and what's pretty much my life lol. If you enjoyed reading updates like this, let me know! As we head into the new year, I just want to say thank you again for being here. Your support, feedback, and enthusiasm are what make all of this possible, and I’m genuinely excited to keep building, improving, and sharing what comes next with you.

TLDR; Happy new year, love you all, so much to cum. (pun intended)
