I was VERY pleasantly surprised when I saw Edward Norton as the Hulk in this film. I wasn't really sure what to expect when first jumping in, but I was impressed by his performance and the overall vibe of this movie. I'm loving these deep dives in the Marvel characters so far! I can't wait for the next one!Thank you for your support here on Patreon!Relax and enjoy 🍿🌿LINK: https://youtu.be/FQWyPbrUazAI watched this on Disney Plus

Simon

But did you remember the end credit scene... :p

The Dingo

Um... not sure if attempting to troll or if you really don't realize there is no end credit scene in this movie...

kaliwali

There wasn't one after the credits this movie! I made sure to look after Iron Man lol. But there was that scene with the general and Tony Stark at the very end that I definitely saw 👀

Simon

I know. I was just messing. Sorry!

Chase

I loved Edward Norton portrayal of the Hulk and Bruce Banner, sad that he couldn’t stay, loved Edward Norton and Liv Tyler chemistry, like the love felt so real, and she would just talk about how “sweet and wonderful Ed is, and how she was grateful to work with him.”😊❤️ Another Edward Norton movie I think you should react to is The Painted Veil (2006) because he’s a multiskilled actor, and I think you’ll love him in that

kaliwali

LOL no worries! I have seen the comments on YouTube saying there was an end credit scene and once again doubted lol

kaliwali

I'm really sad that Edward Norton didn't stay as the Hulk! I'm not sure what all went down that they ended up changing him.. but I did love this version of Hulk! Edward Norton is a favorite of mine from Fight Club and The Italian Job but never seen The Painted Veil! I'll definitely check it out

Chase

Well, Edward and the director for this movie wanted to do a 3 story arc for the character, which marvel had agreed to but changed there minds so pretty much creative differences on how the character should be portrayed and how his story should be

I think I'm so used to Liv Tyler's soft and dreamy voice from her character in LoTR that her flipping out and yelling at the taxi driver will never not be funny LOL A medium pizza and that green soda sounds soooo good right now... even if it turns me radioactive hahaha

You might be interested to know that there were 2 cameos from the original TV series (1977-1982), The Incredible Hulk, which turned a spotlight onto the Hulk character. The first, near the beginning of the movie was the man on the small television screen, Bill Bixby, who played Dr. Banner and the second was the big guy who got the free pizza a little later in the movie, Lou Ferrigno (professional bodybuilder), who played the Hulk. The TV series was very popular and did a great job of introducing the Hulk character!

kaliwali

Very awesome how they did that to stay true to their fans! It's funny because I was just rewatching "I Love You, Man" two nights ago and I totally forgot Lou Ferrigno was in it! I finally understood all the 'Hulk' references 😂

Bernie Zwicky

That’s funny! You did a great job reacting to this, but I must admit, I actually liked the TV series more, probably because the hulk was an actual believable person, not a computer generated character, and the storylines were more warm and heartfelt. In most episodes, the Hulk ends up helping or saving someone. The shows always ended with a different, beautiful, piano only version of the theme song. Might be worth checking out, if you really enjoy the Hulk character. Keep up the great work!

You forget one other callback. A small portion of the original theme when he was sitting down in the street in Guatemala. A theme song that has haunted me for decades I don't mind admitting. Title of the song : "The Lonely Man" and the song fits the description.

Bernie Zwicky

Yes, I caught that and I meant to mention it in the second post where I was talking about the way the show finished each episode, but I see I forgot to mention that. Glad you caught that and let her know about it…Thanks!😊

Hans Engelen

Also worth pointing out now (since you have seen the whole slew of Marvel already anyway) that the name of the developer on the Cryo tube the general retrieved was Dr. Reinstein. An alias in the comics for Dr. Erskine that turned Steve Rogers into Captain America. It was his formula that they used on the soldier... with ... questionable ... results. Replicating the results from that change is what Bruce was doing without knowing it thanks to the General. The serum that was left was limited... not enough to risk wasting on random test subjects that might not even produce results

Bernie Zwicky

That’s funny…the tv show seems like one you would like! It’s old, but the storyline and characters are great, especially how David Banner is portrayed as a very intelligent and caring man who only wants to cure himself and help others, when he can. He has a warm and empathetic personality that draws you in, which is why the show was so successful. I hope you get a chance to see it. 😊❤️

kaliwali

Ahhhh thank you for drawing that connection!!

i think the "STOP!" at the end by betty was an ADR. cause, it makes no sense. i think originally he looks at her and calms down from the animal part in him. but idk, maybe they thought it made more sense if she tries to stop him. it just doesnt make sense for her of all people to tell him to stop.
