Watching now. This is the first installment of the 'Cornetto Trilogy'. The next two are Hot Fuzz and The Worlds End. If you like Shaun of the Dead then you should also like those.

Awesome! I haven't seen either of those so I'll have to check them out soon :)

Simon

Also if you liked the writing and directing style of Edgar Wright you should maybe check out Baby Driver and Scott Pilgrim vs the World. Both have great soundtracks and Scott Pilgrim has lots of video game elements which I'm sure you'll appreciate.

Definitely echo Simon’s comments. The rest of the Cornetto trilogy are just as great. Also, “Paul” is another fun film written and starring Pegg and Nick Frost. As for your intuition about Simon and Yvonne’s chemistry, that may have been partially due to their prior work together as co-creators of a TV series called Spaced (also directed by Edgar Wright and featuring Nick Frost), where they play flatmates. It’s a great series and you can see a lot of the DNA in the Cornetto trilogy in it.

This was my second time watching the movie and I can definitely confirm that you pick up on so much more the next time through! The writing is so smart. Also "Mom is going on side quests" absolutely sent me LOL. But let's be real, if that was you, you'd have opened that door to go inside and loot hahaha The bar fight scene with Queen playing is probably my favorite sequence in the entire movie haha. Big perk of watching these on Patreon is getting to see all the scenes with great music in their entirety!

You mentioned Simon Pegg he's in Band of Brothers he's Sobel's underling and gave Winters his court-martial papers in EP 1.

PHILLIP CORNISH

You have to put the other twos films "Hot Fuzz" and "The worlds end" on your list.

kaliwali

For sure! I'm hoping I can circle back to them soon!

Just a little info, Simon Pegg and the actress that plays Evone were in a tv show in 1999-2000 called Spaced. Check it out its funny
