Hi friends!I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to take a moment to share a little life update before diving into this week's schedule. Over the weekend, I found out that my grandmother isn't doing well, and it's left me a bit shaken. She's still with us, but in rapid decline, and our last phone call was essentially her saying goodbye. This is my first time dealing with something like this in real life, and honestly, I'm not sure how to process it just yet. Because of that, I'm giving myself a little bit of grace this week and keeping things slightly lighter. The Pacific will be on hold until next week, but I have a plan to still wrap it up by the end of March! We'll be picking back up with three episodes next week and the final three the following week. I truly appreciate your understanding- I know this series is an emotional one, and I think taking this pause is the right call for me during this week. As for the schedule ahead, we still have some great watches: 🕷️ Spider-Man: Far From HomeA Spider-man movie to close out Phase 3? I'm both excited and nervous. Peter meant so much to Tony, and I don't think I'm ready to see the aftermath of what the world looks like with three of the most amazing Avengers gone since Endgame. But I'm still excited to wrap up this incredible phase with you all! 🎟️ Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World | Movie Ticket PickThis one is thanks to our awesome community member, John! He has been dying for me to watch it every time it pops up on the poll, and now the time has finally come! I have no idea what to expect, but based on the cover art alone, I know I'm in for a wild ride. Thank you for the pick, John! Really looking forward to this one!🚘 Back to the Future Part IIWe're jumping back into this classic trilogy! This time, Marty, Jennifer, and Doc are heading to the future to check on Marty and Jennifer's kids... because apparently, they're acting out? 🤣 I loved the first movie so much, and I can't wait to dive even deeper into this chaos.Thank you all so much for your time, love, and support. It's been awesome talking with everyone about their thoughts and experiences during Endgame! I appreciate this space more than words can say, and you all seriously make my movie experiences 10x better. Much love and see you all soon! 💚

Losing grandparents is hard. Take whatever time you need. I have one grandma left and she was the one who babysat me for my parents when I was young and when she goes I know I will take it hard.

These three movies are all going to be the perfect vibes for this week I'm probably going to go watch Scott Pilgrim tonight. I've never watched it and heard so many good things about it. So I really want to check it out for myself first before seeing your reaction haha

Hang in there Kali, I lost both of my parents, my dad 8 years ago and my mother last year. It is a time of ups and downs but in the end, I was at least happy they were at peace. Distractions are good so hopefully the movies you have chosen to do this week can help you take a break from your mind over thinking too much. Everyone processes grief differently and there is no wrong way to feel what you need to feel. I can't speak for everyone but you take what time you need, I'm not going anywhere.

I'm in the same boat. My grandmother (I've always called her Maki lol) and grandfather raised me and my sister for 8 years during Middle into High School. They have always been my true parents in my heart.

Big thanks to John for spending his movie ticket on Scott Pilgrim. I have also been crazy excited for you to watch it, it's one of my favorite movies and it's a perfect reaction movie. If you wanted something lighthearted, funny, and exciting, you made the right call. Between that and Spider-Man, it's an absolutely stacked week.

Thank you so much, Richard 💚 No Hawaiian haha, just a silly nickname I gave her when I was really little. Probably like 3 or 4 and it just stuck. Since then, the whole family has always called her Maki. She is an incredible grandma and woman and I'm just really glad she got to live a long and beautiful life.

My dearest sympathies for your Grandmother. I lost my Granddad just last year, when I heard the news it broke me and just thinking about it tears me up. I don’t mean to bring that up to compare or even say I know what you’re going through because we all deal differently even if it’s a similar situation. But I say this to say that it’s hard losing something or someone that’s been a part of your life for as long as you’ve known and I can understand if it’s something you need to deal with. You’re a brilliant reactor and I enjoy your content, commentary and engagement. I sincerely hope you can get through this and take however time you need to deal with this. Try to understand its part of our life to let go and take it easy as much and as long as you need. I’m sorry to hear your grandmother isn’t doing too well. I can somewhat relate as my grandmother passed away at the end of January. I wasn’t expecting her to go when she did, but she did have Alzheimer’s. It’s a surreal feeling for me, I’ve got the funeral this week.

When I lost my mom, it was like a piece of my heart was torn out, even months later if someone brought her up, my eyes would get watery. But when they say that time heals, it's true, after a while you'll be able to talk about them without getting choked up and life does go on, but you'll never forget them or how much they loved you, and you'll smile again about all the good times you had with them.

I just wanted to join the chorus, Kali, and extend my thoughts and condolences to you and your grandmother. I lost both my grandmothers within three months of each other to the same disease, and while I was fortunate enough to have time to say my goodbyes to both of them days before they left, it took a while to recover from it, but it helped knowing they weren't suffering anymore. Please take all the time you need to cope and feel whatever you need as long as you need, because it does take time, and life always comes first. Lean on any loved one you can during this time, because they want to be there to help you. Be well.

It took some time to get over my own grandmothers' passings, since they happened very close together, but I felt fortunate we all got enough time to say goodbye, and I hope you're able to do the same. I lost both my grandfathers when I was little, both of cancer, and I wish I'd gotten to know them better than I did, but I still miss them a lot, so I hope you're able to at least get a little better at it each day. Unfortunately, time never tells us when we're going to get through it, and perhaps we don't completely, but we learn to live with it, and feel joy when we remember them more often than sadness. Thank your for sharing your granddad's memory here, and I hope the next time you think about him and feel the tears coming, you try to celebrate your good memories of him amidst the grief. I lost my uncle when I was eight, and I still cry sometimes when I think about him and what he meant to me. Thank you for sharing your granddad's memory and life with us. But it definitely helps knowing there are good people and good communities out there to lean on. I have so many amazing and beautiful memories with my grandmother. She raised me and my sister for 8 years and I'll always be thankful that her and my grandfather were there for us when our own parents weren't. They did everything/anything they could to support us during a rough time. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandparent, too. It's definitely not an easy time. Thank you Andy, it's definitely hard and after my father passed I was glad we got 7 more years with my mother before she went. It's not an easy time but you get through it the best you can. Sorry to hear about your father, the only thing we can do is keep them in our heart.
