Hey everyone! We've had a lot of new faces join the Patreon family lately! So, I thought this would be a good time to make a Q&A video as a fun "welcome home" for this week! If you've got questions (about me, my reaction journey, behind-the-scenes, future plans, favorites, hot takes, whatever!) drop them in the comments below and I'll be reading through them in a video just for Patreon this week!Thank you all for being here on my movie journey ๐Ÿฟ I hope you've found a cozy spot here and the weekly schedule will be in tomorrow!

Will you ever do any anime reactions and what are your top 5 movies you've seen on this platform so for.

Mathias

Would you be interested in doing a Q&A once a month?

TheTriibalChief

Is there any plans for new gaming content? If so, are there games on your list that you intend to or have interest in playing? Would you seek recommendations from the community?

Dude Longcouch

You receive a phone call. It's John Connor. He has traveled through time to warn you that you've been targeted for termination. The Terminator knows your address and will be at your house in 1 hour. What's your plan?

KJ

What shows or movies have you reacted to where one time was enough, and what shows / movies have you liked so much you've rewatched (or want to rewatch)?

Andrew Thompson

Greetings fair lady, I hope all is well! I am wondering if I'm losing my marbles because I just saw you uploaded a first time playthrough of RDR2? Now I could have sworn you did that quite a while back didn't you? (That's how I discovered you after all) Lol

Jacob

I know you have a gaming background. Have you ever played any of the Metroid games? Torvus Bog is one of my favorite gaming songs ever.

Kristoffer

Kali, what is your plan after finishing Battlestar Galactica? Could it maybe be a more grounded show? I would absolutely love for you to watch a show like Vikings!

Britni Rose

You can only watch one movie (or movie series) ever again - what are you picking? If it extended that your family can only ever watch one movie, which would it be? The same? Or different?

Kristoffer

Who is your favorite Spider-Man? ๐Ÿ˜…

Kristoffer

When will you probably return to your gaming content?

La Baanga

Are there any genres that you didn't think you would enjoy but ended up becoming a fan of after reacting to a few movies? Also, this next part isn't really a question but I would recommend Inception if you haven't seen it yet. Christopher Nolan making The Dark Knight and Inception in the span of two years is why he basically has a blank check from Hollywood these days to make whatever movie he feels like.

Britni Rose

What 5 items would you want in your bag during an apocalypse?

Jonathan Reynolds

Have you got any plans to watch the Harry Potter movies? With the holidays coming up I always get in a Harry Potter mood; even though they aren't holiday movies, they always feature Christmas because they take place over the course of a year, so they FEEL like holiday movies to me, plus the cozy "found family" vibes. Apologies if this is something you've addressed in the past ๐Ÿ™‚

Onno Smits

Will Movie Ticket Picks ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ ๐Ÿฟ make a return next year? I enjoy the polls, and appreciate their democratic nature. But there was also something to be said for the more varied and esoteric selection of reactions through the Movie Ticket system.

Giancarlo Gasparin

Whatโ€™s the hardest thing about being a content โ€œreactorโ€ that we as your audience probably donโ€™t know or appreciate enough?

Damon Shaw

"Who is your daddy and what does he do?" You'll understand this question after you've watched a particular film you have coming up for us ๐Ÿ˜‚

Brian

Are you interested in longer form TV? Love to see you do Babylon 5. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž 2nd thought: after Lord of the Rings would you be interested in another epic fantasy series? Wheel of Time is a big commitment, 12 books (13 with the 1 prequel), but absolutely awesome.

Nina

Which famous person would you like to meet and have a conversation with? (For me it would be Tom Cruise and talk to him about movies. Or Mel Gibson, Johnny Depp, Gary Oldman)

rubberkidney

you are growing more and more powerful mrs wali, the only question i would ask i would never get a yes to, so ill have to live with that.

KamikazeCDN

In the Predator reaction you mentioned how the sci-fi genre has been been pretty dominate since Star Wars and so you may slow down/pause the genre a little bit (I forget the exact wording). So my question is, how do you go about deciding what to watch? Do you ever just think "today I want to watch this so I will"? Or have you ever considered doing entire "Kali's Week/Month" where there is no poll for the week, its just all what you want to watch from your list? Obviously we have the polls and they are pretty great but they are also how sci-fi has likely remained so dominate all this time. As a major sci-fi lover myself, I'd have to agree it's been a lot and plenty of other fantastic movies from other genres get missed out on because of it.

M1 Maz

If you could sit down and have coffee with any individual or group of characters from a movie or show you've watched on the channel, who would it be? And what would you want to talk about with them?

Bernie Zwicky

What is the best way to request a movie or series? I have a couple, but Iโ€™m not sure what works best for you.๐Ÿ˜Š

SultanOfSwing

Any chance you might react to Stargate SG-1 at some point? Know there are a lot of seasons but you could do it with breaks :)

Kristoffer

Damn that sucks ๐Ÿ˜… Oh well, there are still a lot of other great shows.

o.o

ลukasz Jarczewski

Hey, Kali. Any chance you'll watch Arcane sometime? If you've never played League of Legends, don't worry. Knowledge of the game isn't required, quite the opposite. And the series is the best animation ever made.

RP

Hey Kali, Iโ€™m here to push for The Expanse. Itโ€™s a brilliant political Sci-fi, one the best shows front to back ever made. Is it on your radar? Thx, RP ๐Ÿป

BigBrain69

When will the gaming koalas get some food, We have been starving for over a year now

RP

I second this motion. ๐Ÿป

BigBrain69

Do you ever get recognized in public? If so what what was the interaction like?

BigBrain69

What does Mr. Wali do for a living and what does he do for fun when you are busy making videos?

Dude Longcouch

I, too, am not a fan of LoL but I love Arcane. It's legit great.

Brian

Bing Stranger Things!! Last and 1st half of final season begins end of Nov. 8 episodes per Season!

Robert Lineburg

Will the Q&A be available to the Koalas? On the gaming side, I think the gaming video have been reuploads from stuff you did earlier. Will you get back to gaming content and finish up Before the Storm?

Joseph Olson

Cringing at the creepiness in some of these comments. I joined for Andor. I'm staying because of your intelligence. I second the request to have you react to The Expanse. It's an excellent show. I would also add Foundation from Apple TV and Chernobyl on HBO Max. The Expanse and Foundation are excellent sci-fi shows, and Chernobyl is a based-on-truth series about the nuclear disaster in the Ukraine in 1986. It's only 5 episodes long, and will at various times rip your heart out, make you furious, and on occasion, uplift you. I highly recommend it.

Jose Morales

I am fairly new here. A little over a month I believe. Although you may have answered this in the past, my question is how did you decide on calling your community Koalas? My guess is it's a favorite animal of yours, but still wanted to ask. My favorite animals are otters and raccoons, so if I ever had a group, I'd probably call them my Little Otters.

Richard

Great idea Kali! What was the impetus to switch over to movie reactions - feedback from other reactors? (I am aware there is likely a financial component to the decision). Would you be up for doing a Marvel top 5 movies/shows once you catch up? Since you mentioned it, I would still love to see that behind-the-scenes setup you teased on YouTube awhile back ๐Ÿ˜‚. Or for this Q&A, just a description of your process. I am fascinated by it because I donโ€™t have the tech know-how.

M1 Maz

It's a reupload from when it was originally on her main channel! She's in process of moving all her gaming videos from the original channel to the gaming one :)

Nina

Do you plan to react to more Tom Cruise movies like Mission Impossible? And as a huge Mel Gibson fan I would love to see you react to Braveheart, Lethal Weapon etc? ๐Ÿฅฐ

NinjaMidget

I agree, but skip season 2 since it just kinda went off the rails.

NinjaMidget

I have to ask....how in the world did you manage to get to this point in your life without watching so many of these movies???? I have to watch out for spoiling Raiders of the Lost Ark...a movie that is more than 40 years old. If I say 'pay no attention to that man behind the curtain' could you tell me what movie it's from? Well, at least you can now get the reference to 'those aren't pillows!' :)

Richard

Don't want to speak for her, but she's stated a few times she had other interests, and was mostly a gamer as a young person.

TheJoeKerr

If you could erase one movie from your memory and watch it again for the first time which one would it be?

Brad

Thanks for doing what you do! I can't wait until you get to Raising Arizona!!!

Lastboyscout73

My question for you is, have you ever considered becoming a writer? You have a very articulate way of describing things in your synopsis. They're not only well written but they show a measure of intelligence, compassion and empathy towards whatever movie or show that you just watched. If you know me at least a little, you know I'm a big cinephile. I have watched more movies and shows in my lifetime that sometimes it surprises me how much I have seen. I also will go down a rabbit hole if the movie/show that I watch really moved me and learn everything I can about it. You seem to have a great ability to watch something for the first time and pick up on a lot of things that most people need several rewatches to notice but my point is, you write them down in such a profound and meaningful way, that it really shows you have a talent for writing. You are very good at expressing your impression of a movie and even if it's not a well loved one and has its faults, you tend to find the good in it. I have learned to not read your thoughts until after I watched the movie/show with you because they're so good, it spoils how the surprise of how I think you might react. To me, that is impressive.

Eric Capretta

I used to think watching reactors on YouTube was so pointless, now I do see the appeal. I am on the road almost all the time and never home so itโ€™s like watching your favorite movies with someone. Like you know your friends that you say โ€œhey you should watch this!โ€ And they say โ€œyeah!โ€ And never do. Well itโ€™s like watching your favorite movies again for the first time again through someoneโ€™s eyes. So thank you for keeping me company on the road :) Also will you consider watching the Sonic Movies with Jim Carrey? Or the new Planet of the Apes movies? I think youโ€™d like both those

NinjaMidget

Oh, and since we're going into the holidays, you have to watch "Scrooged" Bill Murray kills it in that movie.

Angus Casey

Hi I'm Angus I'm new here I was wondering what you're absolute favorite movie is at the moment thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

Morah-SDG

After you finish the Nolan Batman trilogy, will you consider playing the Arkham Batman series on your gaming channel? Love your reactions!

Phil Stubblefield

I could not have put it better! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Phil Stubblefield

I *strongly* second that nomination! See my comment elsewhere...

Phil Stubblefield

I love to hear reactors answer this "unexpected enjoyment" question! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Phil Stubblefield

Personally, I always enjoyed Addie Counts' monthly Q&A videos for her patrons. Great idea!

Phil Stubblefield

To expand on someone else's suggestion, I second (or third...) the nomination of The Expanse as the next show after BSG. One of the things that makes it stand out among its competitors is that it makes a serious effort to be accurate to the "science" part of science fiction. (Or at least our current understanding of the science, which is all one could reasonably expect.) You'll see no faster-than-light travel, no artificial gravity, and no energy shields. IMO, it's the best science fiction show since Firefly!

Wil Castillo

Out of everything you've watched so far, which character best describes you?

Giancarlo Gasparin

Season 1 of Arcane might be the best 9 episodes of a series I've ever seen, and I don't really watch animated shows.

Giancarlo Gasparin

Idk of many reactors that offer something like this, but I'd definitely like to see it come back as an option too.

Giancarlo Gasparin

Definitely hoping to see an Inception reaction as well.

Phil Stubblefield

Kali, what are your longer-term plans? Where do you see this channel in five years? Do you expect you'll always have new material, or do you worry about losing viewers after burning through the "popular" films? Question to all: What are some stereotypical growth curves for movie reaction channels? I know that Popcorn in Bed has reached nearly 500K YouTube viewers and 4K paid Patreon members, but most reactors struggle to reach even 100K on YT, right?

Joe

Will add on to the love for Arcane. The most beautiful show I have ever seen, incredible original music, and one of the most captivating fictional characters created recently. I truly enjoy both seasons.

Joe

Is there anything special you do to avoid spoilers since you want to go in as fresh as possible for movies or shows you may watch in the future? Does it impact how you engage with others, watch other media, exist on the internet?

skz

Have you seen the Office and if not what would it cost me to get it on the channel. You're someone that would actually pick up on everything unlike most reactors.

Onno Smits

"Watch This! with Joe and Kevin" and "Movies with KL" are two channels that I know have a similar offer.

Andrew Thompson

Hey Kali, odd question? I've been watching a YouTuber for about six months that keeps reminding me of you? Z lol Do you know Cassie over on "Popcorn in Bed"? (No it's not a naughty site) Lol

kaliwali

Yes, Koalas will be able to see the video I post here for the Q&A!

Jp Davis

Whenever you pick back up on the gaming channel, would be interested in playing the Spider-Man games if you havenโ€™t already played them. They have some of the best stories ever with a god of war esc gameplay.

Jwanie

How do you balance your content creation with family time?

NinjaMidget

Popcorn in Bed. I like her content. Great reactions

CptSharKn1ght

Hello, Kali!, I got a question I love to ask when content creators are doing their q&a's and since you played so many good story games till now, out of all in which one would you picture yourself in if it was to imagine living in their respective universe ? and with what characters would you like to interact with or aid in their journey ? You could also have the power to blend in with the storyline and change the direction entirely, or you could just be a harmless NPC lol

Nick

Love your stuff! You come across as someone not afraid to show real emotions and you have some pretty quick insights on some of the stuff you watch. Your authenticity is what I admire and I hope you're able to keep that as the channel grows. I have moved away from other creators who haven't been able to keep that initial charm that drew me in. Do you have any plans to do some more political dramas/thrillers (similar to A Few Good Men)? I'd love to see some reactions to movies like... State of Play Primal Fear The Social Network Trial of the Chicago Seven I'm sure I could come up with a dozen more, but it's a great genre! Cheers

Alex

did anybody ask you to react attack on titan? me personally i think u should. the best story telling in any medium i think. a masterpiece. and u should watch SUB.

Wil Castillo

Braveheart is a really good movie. I hope she watches that. I also hope she watches Apocalypto, another great Mel Gibson film.

Matt Rowland

Kali, what are your hobbies outside your channel? (Or do you have time for other hobbies, LOL)

Shea

Hi! I'm new here so I understand if my question doesn't get answered. Is there any chance you react to 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'? I genuinely think you'd enjoy it. Regardless, I'm happy to be here!

Dude Longcouch

I've been nagging her to start Buffy ever since I got here... hoping 2026 is the year!

Nina

Mel is a great director and a great actor. So many great movies. My favorite is still the Leathal Weapon series โค

David Perkins

Cassie is awesome and im more than happy to watch her reactions but i can't lie, i prefer her reactions with Carlie, her sister. none of my business, i'm genuinely just curious, but what specifically is it that reminds you of Kali about Cassie, because they don't really look alike? like i said, just curious and if you don't want to answer that's perfectly fine!

Andrew Thompson

I'm not sure what it is actually! Lol Cause you're right, they look nothing alike... maybe it's just their honest take on things and their sense of humor as well... plus very similar interests as well.
