Hey everyone! In hype of the new arc, I sat down to watch the opening/ending of the Entertainment District Arc that we're jumping into next. I'm absolutely loving these open/ending reactions and I feel like they're a really fun and awesome way to get excited for what's to come in the Demon Slayer storyline. The opening felt so fun, vibrant and FAST. It has this pulse to it. The music definitely hooked me instantly again. There's something about Aimer's voice that just feels powerful but beautifully fragile at the same time. There was this glamourous feel to everything on the surface, but the flashes to the demon eyes, ribbons (or belts?), and Muzan himself lets you know that there's something dangerous hiding behind all of that beauty. And then the ending.. woah. It softened and darkened everything in a really unexpected way. After all the intense fun sparks, it felt like a quiet exhale. Intimate. Haunting. Like we're being let into a side of the story that isn't about fights or fireworks anymore. It shifted the tone completely and has me wondering what exactly this arc is gearing us up for with an ending like that 👀 I am so excited to jump into this next arc with you all! I hope you enjoyed these opening/endings as much as I did. It has me VERY ready to soak up all the energy, dive right in and see what makes these opening/endings fit the story we're about to be told 🔥✨Thank you for your support on Patreon!Relax and enjoy 🍿🌿No sync-along for this one! These flows better as a full unedited watch, so just press play and hang out!

Love these Opening/Ending Reactions to each season you’re doing! Also I appreciate your takeaway from how the Mugen Train story ended! As always, love your reactions Kali! Remember to always “Set Your Heart Ablaze!” ❤️‍🔥

Not 💯 sure what this new format is yet. But I’m sure it will be obvious once I sit down to watch it Which might take a while. I haven’t even watched the end of season 1/S2.E1 or first movie yet! 😭

I'm super excited to see more of Muzan. Hes clearly INCREDIBLY powerful, especially since we saw what Azaka could do. I am so ready for this Arc!!!!!

For two hours I have struggled, and the reason my struggles exist is my diminishing will power to wait until I'm home and then waiting for McDonald's to deliver some more of their increasingly underwhelming burgers.....but wait I shall before pressing play on both of these intriguing new uploads from today.... Thank you Kali, you have done the near impossible by giving me an ever growing desire for McDonald's to present me with their cold, squashed attempts of recreating the appealing pictures on their website that bear no resemblance to what the burgers are supposed to look like.... I can't wait to watch these intros/outros and as always I thank you for single handedly making my evening filled with happy smiles.

The intro's 100% spoil everything. If you look back, it hits every note, but since you don't know, it really doesn't matter. It's flamboyant and distracting you, so I say whatever.

When is One Piece anime dropping??

i'd use extreme caution watching anime openers like this!! a LOT show many spoilers!! it pays to skip both openers and endings until typically around half way through a season at least!!

DorkRunner

Guys. Openings aren't spoilers. :/ At least just let her decide for herself if she feels like they're spoiling things for her. She's enjoying them, but everyone constantly panicking and saying that they "spoil" things might pressure her to stop watching them even though she clearly likes watching them. Also, I'll say it until it no longer needs to be said; saying that something is a spoiler, is ACTUALLY a spoiler. Just relax and let her enjoy the show how she wants to enjoy it, please. Some of us like intros and outros a lot, and media can't spoil itself. The animators create these openings with purpose, intention, and vision. If an opening reveals something, then they didn't feel it was necessary to hide it. I know some of you are hyper-purist and wouldn't even read a summary on the back of a book, but not everyone is paranoid about seeing brief and unexplained previews of things to come, and some people actually like digging really deep into what plays in an intro and looking for anything that could be real foreshadowing. There's still no context to the action happening in the opening, and symbols and foreshadowing are always speculative until confirmed. She's still going to be hit with the story and emotional moments. These openings aren't going to spoil anything for her, and even if you think they might, she should be allowed to decide that for herself. I'm sure if she ever feels like an anime opening actually ruins an experience for her, she will exercise more caution about them in the future.

DorkRunner

This is actually another one of my favorite intros for this show. (Okay, I confess.... I love them all!) I think you'll find that every time the intro shifts into a new one, you'll think "I'm not sure if I like this one as well," but then after you watch the whole season/arc, you will absolutely love it. They do such a good job of capturing the pace, the energy, the tone, the sentimental moments of the arc and presenting them in series that after you have seen all of the episodes, watching the intro just reminds you of everything all over again and keeps the emotions of the whole season alive in your heart. This is why people keep saying that the intros spoil the season--for those that have watched the season already, the intros compress and distill a lot of the moments in a series of cuts--but I will adamantly stand by my statement that they don't spoil anything for people who haven't seen the season yet. They're very well-designed and they won't blatantly reveal anything important. Like, you noticed that Zenitsu seems to be dressed like a girl and that the demon maybe uses ribbons as a blood demon art; you can decide for yourself if that impacts your experience with the show negatively or "spoils" it for you.

DorkRunner

One more thing; those ribbons are called "obi." They're sashes that are used for a variety of Japanese clothing, but what you're often seeing the women wear with them wrapped around their waist are called kimonos and yukatas. (Kimonos and yukatas aren't the same, but they look very similar and it's still difficult for me to tell at a glance the difference between the two.)

Shane

They literally are spoilers though!! if you dont watch the intro you have no idea that Tengen is the next Hashira we meet. no idea what the next bad guy looks like and no idea that Zenitsu is dressed like a girl etc!! all these things can absolutely be considered "spoilers" they just dont have the context yet!! and it is very common within the anime sphere!! just because you write half an essay doesn't make it any less true!! why do you think the vast majority of reactors who do this type of upload typically wait until the end or near the end of a season!!

DorkRunner

Are you going to address anything else that I said at all, or do you simply not care about letting Kali enjoy watching and engaging with anime in the way that she most enjoys?

Alexander Ocean

totally up to you how you react to the openings/endings, like you said many anime reactors do this, but at least the ones I watch do it after they watch the entire season so that nothing is spoiled for them. It can be fun other way, just wanted to put the info out there for future seasons! Can't wait for your reactions to this arc, might be my favorite!

Shaun Swieringa

I disagree whole heartedly. Theres no guarantee anything will be in the show and without context it means nothing except getting excited for the episode. People yelling it could have spoilers is the spoiler.
