ALABASTA BEGINS 🐪

I love the goofy Straw Hat chaos that we get in between islands since we got on the Grand Line lol. And idk what I was expecting Alabasta to look like but I was shocked when I saw sand and deserts! I love the vibe already! Such a huge contrast from Drum Island.Even though everything seems normal on the outside so far with Alabasta, we still got glimpses into the cracks through the crew's adventures so far. The rebellion, the drought, Dance Powder, the anger towards the King. We know that Crocodile is behind it all, but these poor people? There are still so many fighting for what they think is right without realizing someone else has been quietly moving pieces around the board. And then... ACE!? Luffy has a big bro!!Idk why it made me so happy, but I guess I just love learning little pieces of Luffy's life from before we met him. And Ace immediately feels so cool 🔥 He's somehow more composed than Luffy while still having that little same sprinkle of chaos energy lol. I think it's hilarious that I started to put the pieces together after I saw him sleeping in his bowl in the restaurant 😭But he's actually a pretty insane dude, right?? The Whitebeard Pirates? The way people sat shocked at that reveal. Ace started to feel like our first little window into just how enormous the pirate world actually is. And I'm glad he's on our side.These episodes have me super ready to watch more of the Alabasta arc!I have a feeling this one is about to get insane & I can't wait

Love that you had the same Reaction as me back in 2012 when i first watched the series.I was like who the hell could this be and as soon as i saw him eating and falling asleep i thought .... oh ok that has to be luffys brother :D Also its cool that you got a notebook. With over 1300 named characters to date and such a vast interconected world it can get difficult to remember even important things. You seem to enjoy theory crafting and this show got plenty a mystery to be solved like "what could the one piece be". So dont be discouraged to take some time after episodes to fire away wild theories if you want, or if not, just enjoy the vibes. We`ll be here for it.

Haha! Yes-yes-yes! Here we go. To no surprise, Ace is a fan favourite. To gas up Oda's storytelling a bit more: Ace's devil fruit powers were already teased. When we first meet him in Drum Kingdom the people who are talking about him mention that it was a day where no snow fell. Ace's devil fruit powers changed the climate of the Winter island where snow eternally falls!!! Very cool. Great react Kali, thank you!

ACE!! haha. The brother reveal is one of my favorites. You really go from thinking Luffy is just some doofy happy go lucky character to realizing he has a background and a life before the straw hat crew haha. Gives him so much more depth and it's so exciting to learn more as time goes on!

Ace has arrived! He really is cool. I love how many things tie into this arc. Smoker, Ace, Baroque Works and Crocodile. Plus a lot of lore and world-building is introduced. Good thing you take notes. Crocodile is one of my favorite villains. I'm excited. There are a bunch of suffixes in Japanese, and mostly they show the level of familiarity towards someone. -san is the more common one as it is gender-neutral, and it is used in all kinds of contexts, including addressing people who you may not know well. However, you’ll see/hear male characters using it a lot towards female characters. Whereas -kun is specific to boys. -chan is also gender-neutral but is more so used for either young children or in a more affectionate way towards girls. You’ll hear Sanji use -chan for girls plenty lol there are others but they’re more niche and specific, I believe. But these are the most common ones you’ll come across.

Alabasta - one of the greatest arcs of One Piece. I love the comedy, from Mr. 2 to Luffy flying in that restaurant.

Alabasta will always be one of, if not, my favorite arc :) I have so much nostalgia for it! I remember watching it as a kid back when 4kids was dubbing it haha But it's just so good! The desert setting, Crocodile, Vivi and Karoo... I can't wait to experience it again through someone else's eyes :))
