GUYS, I AM NOT WELL LOL 😭

I found out the hard way that with too much gore I apparently get physically ill 😅So for anyone watching this for the first time with me: BEWARE THERE IS SO MUCH BLOOD/POOP/STUFFNausea aside, this movie completely got under my skin bc it was honestly phenomenal. The writing, the directing, the good and bad vibes, the ACTING.I felt like the movie was deliberately keeping me off balance the whole time.Giving me just enough to form a rational explanation then making me lose my mind all over again. And Bear was honestly so hard to love throughout this haha. I kept waiting for him to fully acknowledge that something was deeply wrong. But instead he rationalized every red flag because he got everything he wished for. Even when his friends knew something was wrong, he denied it and explained it away. He just found more and more ways to make it okay because accepting the truth would mean giving up this version of love that he seriously became addicted to.Which makes the title of this become very interesting: Obesssion.Because ultimately, Bear was the one who was truly obsessed right??He wanted this so badly that he was willing to ignore what it was doing to someone else.Is being with me really that bad?Like SIR. There was something incredibly uncomfortable about watching someone convince themselves that what they're doing is out of love when so much of it was just about fulfilling their own desires at another's expense. And that's where this movie has me actually enjoying the writing and message. Real love requires choice. And Bear couldn't accept that. By the time things escalated WAY too much and he was forced to actually confront what was happening.. it was already way too late. And that's what made this whole thing TRAGIC. There were so many times he could have stopped, been open to his friends and gotten help sooner, questioned himself, listened to the people around him, listened to HER, or simply admitted that something was wrong. But he didn't.He wasn't just caught inside an obsession. He kept choosing it.(Also I did not sleep well last night, if anyone is wondering hahaha)Thank you for your support on Patreon!Relax and enjoy 🍿🌿SYNC ALONG LINK: https://youtu.be/ADDAXF3C04gI watched this on Amazon Prime (Rented)

Walter White

I freakin love this movie. This will be like my 5th time watching it lol. Incredible acting all around but Inde Navarrette’s performance especially is so creepy and unsettling. She killed it!! And bear is a piece of shit! 🤣

Giancarlo Gasparin

Kali asked for a “Cozy Thriller” rec and y’all said “Obsession”. ☠️☠️☠️

C. J. Ramirez

Idk how many times I watched this movie. I hate horror tbh but I loved this one because it wasn’t a jumpscare movie I was just uncomfortable the whole movie. I watched it in theaters at like 1 in the morning and I got home still thinking about it. You should rewatch to catch small details you won’t catch the first time. Also Ian is a horrible friend and fuck bear I was sympathetic towards him cause I’m always just like him but man after he already knew it wasn’t her and just accepted it I was like nah this isn’t it

La Baanga

Your scream from the dog jumpscare in "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" nearly shorted out my headphones so I can't even imagine what this movie did to you. Definitely something to look forward to when I get home from work.

Giancarlo Gasparin

I wasn’t familiar with Inde Navarrette’s work prior to watching this recently, but now I get the hype. She’s got range for days, and she’s going to absolutely slay as the X-Men’s new Rogue. That first “Sugah” is gonna hit like a cold Hawaiian Punch, no ice.

Jose Morales

I heard about this movie and was recommended many times. I didn't even see a trailer. I went in fully blind, and this movie was very good. The jump scares in this movie were different than most movies. I've actually watched multiple times with people I know that haven't. What's crazy is although his wish made her obsessed with Bear, his actions seem like we was more obsessed. Also Inde's acting is phenomenal, and I can't wait to see her in her new Marvel role in a couple of years.

Sky Quest Music Official

I'm commenting this before I watch your reaction. This is the first time I can say I've been both excited and dreading you releasing a video. I love this movie and I am so excited to see your reaction, but I am also terrified because when I saw this for the first time in theaters I could not sleep for weeks haha But I also find a little bit of Solace that Inde Navarrete who literally plays Nikki said she also couldn't sleep for like 6 months. So I feel better knowing our new badass scream queen herself was also scared by this movie and her work🤣 So excited to and also terrified to watch this movie again with you!

Drae

This movie was written and directed by a well known youtuber. He mainly does comedy skits, that does comedy skit, so seeing his success with this movie is great. Who knows maybe couple years from now Kali comes out with her own movie 🎬

Edgar Gonzalez

Oh Shit! Kaliwali is in for a crazy ride on this one! Kaliwali at 1:53:38 "OMG, i hate all of the shadows in this movie, oh my gosh, I mean like what is that?"... "OH MY GOD THATS HER, OH MY GOD, AHHHH!" 🤣🤣🤣

James Park

Ive been meaning to watch this glad I get to watch it with Kali, is it wrong i always jump back 10 seconds to rewatch your jump scares

Howie

You are lot braver than me, Kali!! This is the first time I'm commenting on a reaction for a movie I won't watch. At most I'll fast forward to the end to hear your thoughts. I don't do well with these types of movies. Aliens and Jaws, no problem. But the paranormal/supernatural/demonic and gory stuff I refuse because I don't want nightmares (which I have experienced in the past). All though I did watch Weapons, which I do recommend, but it yeah i didn't do too well with that also. 😓

William

Oh…my.

Ron B

As someone that is NEVER a fan of Horror, even though I LOVE Thrillers 😈 my friends alllll warned me that this was NOT a Thriller (from what I was interpreting from the trailer) and yeahhhh it definitely is not... BUT I actually really loved this one! Inde was AMAZING in this role among the others too, but I am SO GLAD I watched this a month or so ago and have watched pretty much EVERY reaction since 😂🤣. THAT BEING SAID, there is NO WAY I would have survived this in a dark theater with dozens of other people 😵☠️. Thanks Kali! Can't wait to watch your reaction now! 😝

The Dingo

Pst - the woman who plays Nikki has been cast as the new Rogue in the MCU. It was just announced about a week ago.

Ron B

OH and random note (not to get lost in my other bigger comment) you made a typo in the summary here when describing the title of the movie. The first 's' before the 'e' moved over 😜 "Which makes the title of this become very interesting: Obesssion."

Jacob

This movie is insane. I hated (loved) every minute of it lol.

TheJoeKerr

I’ll have to STAAAAAAAAAAY in tonight to watch this one 😂 (sorry that part in the movie cracks me up when she yelled that)

Danny

bear is clearly the villain of this movie, but i feel like not enough attention is paid to how awful his friend is. That opening scene in the diner is such an insane humiliation ritual. Bear does a lot of unforgivable stuff but out of cowardice and weakness, not intentional cruelty.

Black_TYGR

haha…I’m glad you braved though this one. 🤍

Lastboyscout73

I was going to post this myself, but you beat me to it. Rogue is such an important part of the X-Men (IMO) that I literally checked this movie out just to see Inde Navarette's performance (and I don't typically watch horror). She killed it and I think she will make a great Rogue! (Now I just hope they give Rogue the justice in the movies that she deserves)

kaliwali

yeaaaaah and I feel like the worst part about the opening diner scene is that Ian was hooking up with Nikki casually before that and STILL had him perform that just to laugh at him 🔥 horrible friend

Eric C. Graham

oh boy. once I saw the title of the movie, I knew you'd be in for it lol

The Dingo

I need to see her and Captain Marvel meet!!!! No spoilers but they better damn well do it! ( IYKYK)

Drae

The markings on her body matches Sara's tattoos.

Chuckles1004

Loving your hair Kali. Be careful what you wish for. Lol Can't wait to watch your reaction to this. TY

Christian F

So I looked a lot into the lore of the movie, something that is confirmed by the writer of the movie is that the one wish Willow is a benign Supernatural item. It is not evil or good, it's simply Grant's wishes using the simplest means possible. That's why when Ian asked for money he simply got the money and that wish would have came with no downsides whatsoever. But whenever bear wished for Nikki to love him more than anyone in the fucking world, that was a wish that could only be accomplished by fully replacing Nikki with a brand new entity. Since forcing that kind of complex change in Nikki's brain would be more difficult for the wish granting magic than simply replacing Nikki with a fresh entity, the willow replaces her due to that being the easiest way to grant the wish. It's not demonic or inherently evil, it's just a newborn creature that's not human that is placed inside Nikki's body as soon as he makes the wish, thus imprisoning Nikki somewhere that is up to your own imagination. You could say she's stuck in her own brain, you could say she's in some sort of hell-like purgatory judging from the screaming Nikki on the phone call. The only thing that is 100% certain and confirmed by the writer of the movie is that there is a creature living in Nikki's body that was created by the wish. And you can see whenever the real Nikki starts to break free every now and then, like when she tried to kill herself at the party. And it kind of makes sense that it's not an inherently evil creature, it's just an immature newborn creature who's only psychological directive is Love Bear more than anyone in the world. Anyone who can confidently say that is probably very obsessive, possessive, jealous, and immature. It's exactly what we see in the creature inside of nikki. So yeah, the one wish Willow is basically a secular magical object that isn't inherently good or bad. Another fun fact about the one wish Willow that the writer/director commented on in an interview is that the chill shopkeeper from the second time bear goes into the Crystal shop used his one wish to get rid of his own anxiety. I think that kind of comes through in the characters personality lol.

Slow Shadow

I kinda feel bad for voting for this because wow you went through it 😅 so sorry. But I'm glad you appreciate it too because this is such a succes story for the Director and actors and everyone who made this.

ButtercupsTrueLove

I'm glad Kali understood the characters the first time she watched "Obsession". Oddly, once in a while a reactor gets it completely wrong and makes Nikki out to be the scary villain of the movie. I find that type of reaction puzzling and disturbing. Bear (Baron) was infatuated with Nikki but didn't have the nerve to tell her how he felt about her because he had such a strong fear of rejection. Instead, by using the One Wish Willow he took away Nikki's free will and turned her into a twisted, submissive version of herself. The real Nikki was struggling to get free of the spell but couldn't do it on her own. When things started to become to much for Bear his first choice was to alter his wish, not for Nikki's sake but for his own desire to still keep Nikki but make her less 'clingy'. This in itself is a selfish and cruel thing to want to do, just as horrifying as his initial wish. Bear doesn't want Nikki to love him - he wants a slave to lavish praise and attention when HE wants it.

Lastboyscout73

Can you believe this movie was made for less than 1 million dollars? It also broke a record for gaining audience after it was released that was previously set by the movie "ET". I hate horror movies personally. Jump scares are not my bag but Inde Navarette's performance was amazing and I can't wait to see her as Rogue in the MCU in 2028!!

KamikazeCDN

This is a rare first time watch for me when watching reactors. It was on my radar but I just wasn't getting around to it so figured why not. It's a good movie, totally solid - I can see why it has so much hype around it. Crazy to think that it's written and directed by a dude who I've seen doing stupid/silly comedy sketches on TikTok and stuff before. I can also see why Hollywood and everyone has started going crazy for Inde Navarrette, for someone clearly so tiny physically she commanded the screen with a much larger presence any time she was on it. As for Bear, he was absolutely at fault - there is no getting around that. But I feel like I can feel *some* empathy or even pity for him in the early stages. I guess before everything became real. Seeing his medicine cabinet, he's obviously struggling with something and then his entire vibe doesn't exactly exude confidence or someone that's the most happy. Plus I've sorta been there, willing to overlook what should be red flags when you love someone (never this extreme though lol). The human mind can be strange when you're full of sorrow, loneliness, etc, and you get a taste of something better. But it's like you said, he was obsessed with Nikki - or even just obsessed with the idea of her. I'm not even sure if he truly loved her or not. But he totally let that obsession ruin this girl's life. I think we need to be kind in future recommendations for Kali during spooky season since this gore was too much in this - maybe no classic slasher films lol.

Glen Roberts

She had the lines on her body, changed her hair, and was smoking to imitate Sarah, thinking that Bear would love her more that way.

Glen Roberts

i generally dislike horror shows, I find jump scares to be cheap, and the writing is often terrible. But when I see a quality show like this, or The Exorcist it really shows how good a horror film can be when done right.

charlie

this was an amazing reaction to this movie thank you so much for doing it and sharing it with us

M1 Maz

The fact that you immediately called out how good Inde Navarrette's acting was without having already been exposed to all the hype about her online just shows how amazing she actually was in this. And how deserving she is of all the new roles she's getting Also, based on my own experience with this, I feel like extreme violence / gore in an indie film feels so much worse because it feels a lot more real LOL. When watching a bigger budget Hollywood horror movie, it doesn't feel as 'real' as this one did. Probably why the whole thing felt so disturbing

ITMacPro

The actress Inde Navarette couldn't find any work 2 years after filming this movie and now she is going to be the new Rogue in a new Marvel movie. She has potential to have a very successful career.

C. J. Ramirez

Nikki also would have gave bear a chance if only he confessed but he was to coward too

Marcel S

great Reaction to a great Movie. I've watched Obsession at least ten times now, and each time I hate Bear more and more. Pure Villain. I recommend Backrooms. It's a very good film, much less scary than Obsession, and has hardly any jump scares. It focuses more on the atmosphere, which is fantastic. I like it more than Obsession.

Paul Walker

I feel like there are so many ways this movie could have gone wrong but every decision that was made makes it better. For example the casting of Inde & Michael, Curry choosing not to star in it, Curry listening to his producers by changing the ending where Nikki does use the gun for self deletion, and Curry letting Michael have a take where Bear tries to vomit up the pills in the bathroom continuing the character trait of cowardice that plagued him throughout the film. This was a true collaboration in every way and I hope the careers of everyone involved prospers for years to come!!

Jahny Bravo

I’ve been HEAVILY procrastinating watching this movie. I’m not much of a thriller movie person solo watching. Either I watch it with someone else or I don’t get around to watching. Not that I dislike them, I just always prioritize watching other things because I don’t ever have the mindset on my own time to be like “okay now’s a great time to watch this kind of movie.” But I’ve actually wanted to see this movie since the trailers dropped, but my best friend who usually takes me to see these kinds of movies in theaters (she’s the only reason I’ve seen movies like Midsommar, Black Phone, etc.) lives like a 7 hour drive away and work devours my schedule, making visits sadly rare nowadays. But I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your reactions to the stuff I’ve already seen, so it’ll be interesting having my own first time watch right alongside your reaction. You can be my buffer for this movie since, ironically in a way, being able to watch your reactions since I subscribed to your Patreon has also helped me continue to procrastinate watching this movie lol. That said, I have a feeling I’m still going to heavily procrastinate even watching this reaction so maybe in like a week or two I’ll be able to say I’ve finally watched this video. But I’m commenting ahead of time to put myself on the hook that I WILL watch this…. soon…. …eventually

Steve Mercier

Would you rather meet a 'Bear' in the woods, or a man?

Giancarlo Gasparin

I feel like we're going to get a post from Kali next week saying something to the effect of: "After much reflection, we're good on horror for the year. Spooky Season will unfortunately be cancelled. October will be spent watching nothing but Pixar movies, so drop your favorites in the chat. Thanks for understanding!"

David Trumble

As with the Conjuring, you watching this for our enjoyment is borderline sadistic and we apologize and yet simultaneously regret nothing. Thanks for toughing it out.

Paul Ark

Nikki was trying to emulate Sarah at the end because she thought Bear liked her and so copied Sarah’s look and habits: she took Sarah’s dress off her corpse and wore it, curled her hair like Sarah (though there is a lot of online debate whether she scalped Sarah’s corpse and wore her hair like a wig), marked herself with the same body tattoos as Sarah, and started smoking.

Paul Ark

Michael Johnston (Bear) is rumored to be in talks to play Harry Osborn. If that happens, two relatively unknowns thrust into the MCU on the strength of this movie. Curry Barker is definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Paul Ark

I think there’s an interview out there where Curry Barker says that Nikki wasn’t replaced, but rather her psyche was fractured, and the part of her personality that became obsessed became dominant while the “rest” of Nikki had to watch passively in pain and torment. Kind of like a Hulk & Bruce Banner situation: two different sides of the same coin. When Nikki is wailing “what did you do.” At the end, it could be interpreted to mean she was asking Bear, but I think it could also mean she was asking her obsessive persona.

Sky Quest Music Official

Update, it is 12:46 at night, and I just finished, Definitely gonna have nightmares again.🤣 Your reaction as usual was amazing. You were allot like me in the sense you were never really sure who Bear was supposed to be, protagonist or Antagonist. You start to dislike him as the movie goes on and then the brilliant "Please just kill me" scene were its finally solidified that he is in fact the antagonist of the movie. The bedroom scene definitely scared the living crap out of me. They intentionally did her makeup to look "Uncanny" so you couldn't truly tell if her face was distorted or not and then to follow up the flower vase scene making you think you're going to see a distorted face only for it to be normal was brilliant. Never a jumpacare, but kept you on edge the whole time. And then you asked what the markings were on Nikkis body at the end. She actually drew Sarah's tattoos on her and put her hair on top of her to make Bear like her more. Its so screwed up. And the face smashing scene? Yeah according to Curry and the girl that played Sarah, that was supposed to be ALLOT longer AND it as supposed to show that Sarah was still alive for a short bit and her gurgling blood. It'll be in the directors cut from what they were saying. I can't believe I made it through this movie again and I'm Definitely going to be cranking up my electric bill with lights on but like I said...Inde (who played Nikki) literally said she slept with lighta on for like 6 months because ironically she also HATES horror films because she gets scared easily and yet here she is being the newest addition to the legendary Scream Queens. Amazing reaction as always Kali! YOU MADE IT THROUGH!!! You legit can watch anything now like you said🤣

Tim Hyden

I don’t think Bear was wrong for having a crush on his friend. That happens. I don’t even think he was wrong for breaking the stick because he didn’t think it would work. But once he was shown that it wasn’t real and then he didn’t try to reverse it THATS where he went wrong. Just my opinion.

J M

its also why she hits herself with the brick

J M

At the start of the movie it's very hard to tell if Nikki likes Bear or not, and they made it ambiguous on purpose. They filmed takes where Inde Navarrette would play Nikki as if she was secretly into him, and ones where she wasn't, and then mixed them together to produce what we see on screen also, after the wish and after she says "I know what you're trying to do", she gets up and runs around and we see bear laughing at her in bewilderment. this was Michael Johnston's actual reaction to Inde spinning around in place because she forgot which way the script had told her to run. basically a blooper but they kept it in :-D

Robert da Spruce

Yeah, this movie kinda stays with you for a while. I actually started feeling bad I voted for the film a few times. As you were on the verge of quitting multiple times I give you credit for powering through though. You should be proud of yourself. I hope you were able to watch something happy to cleanse the palette. Hug you kid and husband, and sleep Ok that night Screw Bear! I know Nikki was super creepy (tremendous acting btw), but she wasn’t the villain. She was the victim And when she was begging Bear to just kill her. All he could do was get butt hurt “Is it so bad being with me?” What a little B… And poor Sarah 😭 Her only mistake was caring about Bear. Who couldn’t even take himself out. He tried to throw up the pills as Nikki made her wish. And now Nikki will probably get blamed for all the deaths too! Honestly, I don’t like horror films in general. I typically avoid them. But this movie is so well done, I’ve watched it multiple times (Insert obsessed joke here 😉)

J M

one of the things i like the most about this movie is that when you rewatch it and get used to all the horror tricks and are no longer on edge the entire time, the movie becomes actually hilarious. which might sound weird, but Curry Barker and Cooper Tomlinson (Ian's actor) did comedy sketches before making this movie, so it makes sense that they brought in their experience with comedy for this. like, Nikki shutting off the water as soon as Bear mentions the boys' night will never not be funny to me, nor will the smash cut from Nikki's meltdown over the boys' night to Ian's "I knew you were gonna bring her" that said, I also like that they know to cut the humor off when it matters. the scene where Nikki is pleading with bear is absolutely heartbreaking, and i'm glad they didn't undermine it with a comedic bit

Glen Roberts

ah cool, i hadn't made that connection.

Kal

Underrated comment, got a good chuckle out of me

Al Paka

All the actors in the movie were really good. But Inde Navarrette absolutely rocked the role

Jojo Garlin

Inde Navararette. Say Hello to our NEW ROGUE OF THE MCU’s X-Men!!! A lot of people are mixed about this. But I think she’ll do great in the role and this movie has proven it. One thing about Rogue is that due to her power she takes on characteristics of other people, so sometimes other personas talk through her or she channels different personas involuntary and this movie proves Inde is capable of putting that to screen, she’s also shown she can be super playful and charismatic which is an important trait to Rogue that people who’ve only seen the Fox movies aren’t aware of.

Gamaliel Freeman

Bear at the end of it all became the villain not just to himself but to his entire friend circle because of his obsession with nikki. The slow demise. Bear with sarah would have been a great match but NOPE. He forced Nikki with the One Wish Willo

James Park

Well..... I don't really have words I don't think I can watch that again that freaked me out so much never had full body chills this much

Isaiah L

Now imagine watching this on the big screen in a dark movie theater 😭

Isaiah L

Also, you thought the gore in this movie was nasty? I watched the most recent movie of "The Mummy" and the gore in that was so much nastier than this. It was disgusting.

PaulieXP

should have gone with American Phy.. you know what.. nevermind :)) Tho Patrick is a much more fun main character imho

Giancarlo Gasparin

The heart rate monitor on this one would’ve been cool lol

Al Paka

In interviews, Curry Barker confirmed that the real Nikki was disappointed when Bear failed to express his true feelings while driving her home. Feeling a genuine connection, she had given him a real chance. Curry highlighted the deliberate irony: if Bear had just been honest, he would have had a real shot.

Douglas Ferreira

she need to see The Haunting of the hill house NOW! 😭 i love all reactions of her, and now terror?!? PERFECT

kaliwali

to be fair, the music was nice and cozy LOL

BERSERKER HALL OF REVIEW S

I can’t believe you watched it after I learned about you right in the middle of your reaction 😆 glad you appreciated the righting and the acting at least 👍🏻I can’t ask for more then that

kaliwali

OOOOH of course! I think I was so traumatized by the end that I couldn't brain anymore lol

Brandon the Cannibal

I say this as someone who is VERY critical of the horror genre, it has been a long time since a horror movie actually made me feeling something, and while Obsession didn't "scare" me it was the first movie in a long time that made me genuinely feel uncomfortable at some parts.

kaliwali

LOL I don't blame you. Watching scary movies alone would be too much! I mean.. I know I'm 'alone' but its the day and I'm also recording and I always think of y'all as being with me during watches 😅 But honestly, this one was really good! The story was so interesting and the acting as you know.. amazing! lmk if you get to it and what you thought!

kaliwali

Oh yeah, definitely. Great explanation of Bear! Glad you enjoyed this one and the art/acting/directing that went into it. Really amazing considering the low budget and who went behind the making of this! So cool!

kaliwali

OHHHHH OF COURSE 😭 I think I was so shocked by the end that my brain tapped out lol

kaliwali

LOL naaaah, I mean this one was so rough. But honestly I'm oddly looking forward to more thrillers! They terrify me so much but they're pretty fun and really interesting (or at least this one was lol)

kaliwali

Watching this at 1am is INSANE bahahaha Glad you loved the reaction tho! This movie was so wild. I really felt like I was in a daze the rest of the day after this experience 😅🤣

kaliwali

omg hahaha that's so funny!

kaliwali

It's honestly such a well done movie that I don't regret watching it AT ALL! So no matter how scared I get in these watches.. know that I'm actually having so much fun haha. This one left me numb the rest of the day 😅 Insanely well written and acted movie!

kaliwali

YES this was so much more visceral than anything I've ever seen!

kaliwali

right!? like fuuuull body chills. crazy movie!

kaliwali

The Mummy gore worse than this!? Hooooooow LOL

kaliwali

right!? I need to get that set up soon before spooky movie season hits

kaliwali

ooooh interesting! I thought the whole 'she saw you as a brother/sister' plot line was it.

kaliwali

I don't blame you! I've had two nights of wild dreams in a row now after this one 😅

kaliwali

don't feel bad! I'm really glad it won bc WOW

fireforeffect

I think my favorite part of this movie is watching reactors realize when Bear is the bad guy in the film... I think most of us can excuse him for being dumb and making a "joke" wish that he didn't think would really come true, but after dinner? No way can that be excused, he took advantage of her body knowing for sure it wasn't her anymore and ending dinner with "Doesn't matter to me" just puts the final nail in the coffin. Believe it or not there is another woman I watch react to movies who was team Bear till the very end of the movie and that was actually kind of scary.

oreganoe

That's also why she was smoking the cigarette as quickly as possible.

Cameron

Your look of pure disgust when Bear says he doesn't want to cancel the wish, only alter it. 😂 There are so many huge crossing the line moments, and somehow people still try to defend Bear as if he was ignorant to what was going on.

Why It

watched this for the first time with you and omg I understand all the hype now, that was SO GOOD. the acting was insane, especially for a horror movie, Inde Navarrette gave me Toni Collette vibes from Hereditary (another excellent horror film) but that one's maybe not a good idea for you lol. As a parent it was really hard for me to watch and I love horror.

David L

This is such a great movie. Don't mess with a Monkeys Paw. You should checkout Backrooms and WEAPONS as well. Great Reaction,Kali! Have a great day!🙂

Isaiah L

They PURPOSELY made it as nasty as they could. Lmao

rubberkidney

This is the first time I've watched this. Yeah, not fun to watch.

Clifton

the darkest movie ive ever watched

Geraldo

Strangely the most disturbing scene for me was the call to the help line. Her screaming at the end of it sounded like she was in hell. If anything should have compelled bear to end his wish it should have been then. Separately, the car ambush using a stone paver over the steering wheel was diabolical.

Zeroarmor7

You can buy a One Wish Willow on Amazon and then wish you never watched this movie...

SgtOddity

I tried to be brave like Kali. Had the film muted half the time and skipped through all the night scenes.... Yikes.

Dave M.

And wearing Sarah's dress. It's kind of like, "Hey, you like her. But why don't you like me? Maybe I'll change my appearance so I can look like her."

Dave M.

Also, that was Sarah's naked body in the chair. 😬

Dave M.

Curry Barker has made it clear that this is NOT a possession film.

Dave M.

Now for Backrooms, Kali!!! 🤣

Usagi

I almost feel bad we voted for this haha. I think you'd like Oculus! A great paranormal movie.

Dave M.

NIce name! Time to race Vin Diesel?

SMPUNK

Bear imo was the most annoying one in this movie. However it was very good tho.

Ron White

This may be the best video reaction I have seen Period. Congrats for hanging in there.

Jeremy Montanez

Ok..... pretty good reaction to this film. It's my favorite movie and I honestly was basically over watching reactions to this but I really enjoyed this. Id have liked more disgust on Bear and more sympathy for Nikki. One thing I always tell people is I was never afraid of her I was afraid for her. All in all I give this a 8/10 as far as obsession reactions. Great job 😊

Walker

Like Kali said the acting of Inde Navirette is absolutely incredible. I also liked the portrayal of the young guy, Bear during the first act who’s very much into this young lady, who is known for a while as a friend but very much wants to be more than that, but is terrified of rejection. I think, almost every young man can relate to that. You feel like if you try and you get shot down, that’s it you’re in the friendzone forever, it’s not true, but it’s an understandable fear at that age. However, the protagonist complete lack of concern for the girls safety and happiness that he is supposedly in love with, and the people around her are just astonishing. I was unable to relate to him after that. She’s literally screaming while she’s sleeping and he just excuses it as normal nightmares. I feel like bear went from somebody every guy could relate to and then became an absolute complete. He didn’t seem to have any care for her welfare. I guess they’re trying to show in some cases people can go from loving somebody to obsessing to the point where you’re harming them. I have been so into somebody in my early teens that you’re thinking about them all the time, but I just can’t relate to that level of obsession that you could harm them or allow harm to come to harm for your own “happiness”. Curious from the female perspective, would you corner a guy ask him if he likes you and then he says yes and reject him it kind of feels like she setting him up for a faceplant. Seems like it’d be nicer to let him know several times that you like him as a friend rather than ask him how he feels then shoot him down.

I have not seen this movie before, but massive props, Kali, for putting yourself through this messed up movie. It's insanely creepy. The actress absolutely killed it.

This film follows the antagonist and it makes the audience uneasy from the beginning. But by default, Bear is also the protagonist, since his actions (and non-actions) cause the story to move forward. It's what, in my opinion, makes the "be careful what you wish for" story original and fresh. It's funny because this film is praised for so many things like story, acting performances, production design, etc. But I haven't heard people mention the musical score, which is huge in making the horror come alive. Curry's choice to cut the music abruptly in key moments like when the first time we see the One Wish Willow break, makes a strong impact as well. It's all pretty genius to me.

The film The Substance is a must watch.

At least you didn’t do this during your big spook week, you would have quit right after this one 😂
