We're back in the main story!!! 🏴‍☠️

And immediately a giant ship falls from the SKY & Nami's log pose starts pointing straight up 👀& giant mysterious shadows with angel wings appear LOL WHAT IS HAPPENINGI love One Piece so much because it really feels like an adventure every episode. Just when you think you've seen it all on the Grand Line, something else completely ridiculous is right around the corner. And now we're chasing an island in the clouds 😅 But Luffy's RESTRAINT from absolutely clobbering Bellamy is what really got me here. The two of them couldn't be more opposite. Bellamy has this sad, cynical way of looking at the world. At being a pirate. He really believes that dreams are for children and the only things worth chasing are physical things you can hold in your hand. But I'm honestly so proud of Luffy for not fighting back.At first it's honestly really hard and frustrating to watch him and Zoro not stand up for what a dream really is. I thought for sure Luffy was going to crash out lol. But then I realized how much he's really grown. There's nothing for him to prove to Bellamy. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is to just walk away.. After everything this crew has been through, Luffy is finally realizing that not every battle is worth fighting 🔥 HUGEI love the Jaya Arc already!I'm interested in mysterious cherry pie man. Is he the one that has answers to Sky Island? Or will we find even more pirates, monkeys, and crazy mysteries on the other side of this island?Thank you for your support on Patreon!Relax and enjoy 🍿🌿WANT TO WATCH IN DUB?SYNC ALONG LINK: https://youtu.be/r5xn9J-0BmUI watched this on Netflix

One Piece Tuesday about to go crazy this week

Clifton

Lol dub jumpscare always kills me HAHA

Ziggy Stardust

The Netflix subs definitely aren't the best, especially from the Sky Island saga onwards, hope you consider switching to the CrunchyRoll version. The scenes where multiple people talk at once are done better there as well. No pressure though.

Wutai

Yay!!! One Piece Tuesday!! As always, love your reactions.

I would not say luffy is growing up in regards to picking his battles. He learned that lesson very young from shanks wo did not engage with the bandits who spilled drinks on him. Up untill now every fight has just been necessary. This is one arc you can really start to fire away wild theories and overanalyze. The community still does 25 years later and its a blast discovering the intentionality behind the smallest lines of dialogue. Its really appreciated amongst fans and you are doing a splendid job so far.

Such great episodes. The check in with Ace and Buggy! As for Bellamy: As lame and sad as he is, he is the majority of pirates out in the sea. When Gold Roger died and proclaimed the One Piece every pirate worth their salt was swept up in the excitement. It has been over 20 years since that however and most pirates are in it for the blood and plunder. Luffy grew up with a role model like Shanks and believes entirely in dreams and adventure, to him, someone who doesnt have a dream is not even a person. Just like Shanks didnt fight the bandit for getting his drink smashed, the fight with Bellamy is not worth it. Every enemy we have fought has had a dream to some extent. Even crocodile who was full evil wanted the power of Pluton make a nation of pirates and find the One Piece.

One of the comments before me said it already. But wow, this is the first time i watch a reaction with the Netflix subs, and boy are they creative with the translation. I understand that they didn't translate the original japanese and just put the subtitles to their english dub in there. But the freedom they used is really something. Quite alot of the subtitles say complete other things as they speak. While these translations have their own quirky senseof humor they are still completly different what was said. Quite lazy from Netflix to not translate the original japanese.

The English dub jumpscare 😂

The subtitles being in all white makes them hard to read sometimes. Don't know if it's just me. But i do believe there's a way to make them more visible in the Netflix settings.

The filler was fun, but it's great to be back in the Grand Line! Always a good time when Ace is on screen, and hearing Buggy gas up Whitebeard was a treat. The Jaya stuff was the highlight for me though. Nami and Zoro show their loyalty in such different ways. Neither of them knows about Shanks and the Mountain Bandits, but Zoro just stood there and took all that abuse because his captain told him to. And Nami, embarrassed and pissed, still picked Luffy up off the floor and dragged him out. Loyal to the core, both of them.

Jon

The subtitles are so off lol. I would recommend Crunchyroll instead if you have it.

MaxZR

Funny how you instantly called him "Pie Guy" just like the only other reactor I watch consistently. Pie Guy's aka Cherry Pie Man's introduction was so simple yet incredibly brilliant for reasons that I won't go into at this point.

kaliwali

OOO I didn't know that! I was only watching on Netflix because they remade the East Blue Saga so it's full screen. But I'll def switch over to Crunchyroll if that's the case! Thanks for the heads up!

kaliwali

The only thing I can change on Netflix is to make them larger which I tried one week and it was waaaay too big lol. I'll be switching to Crunchyroll starting next week tho since apparently the English subtitles aren't great on Netflix going forward, so hopefully they'll be better over there! Sorry about that

kaliwali

Oh man! I'll def be switching to Crunchyroll starting next week.. What the heck Netflix 😡 just as bad as Amazon with their subtitles I'm realizing lol

kaliwali

I didn't realize! I'll def switch to Crunchyroll starting next week, that sucks!

Dro

particularly "They not he" can't wait to learn the truth.

It wasn't my intention to pressure you into doing a change. I just was quite disappointed to see just how lazy Netflix is with the translation, even if they pump so much money in the live action and the remake. But if you change you will get a translation more faithful to what is said even if Cruncyroll is also not the holy grail of translation. Also if you do so, don't be suprised for the little intermission during the original commercial break, those have been cut out in the Netflix release.

In Japanese "salvage" is pronounced "saru-bejji" and "saru" means "monkey" in Japanese. Yet another bi-lingual pun from Oda

netflix is just the worst. crunchyroll isn't much better. physical media is best, but it's expensive and hard to get, and corporations are trying to wipe it out. Remember, if buying isn't owning...
