This movie is SO UNHINGED hahahhaa. It was honestly the perfect way to wrap up Spooktober tho & I'm glad I saved it for the end!

I immediately fell in love with the 90s vibe, the music, the costumes, the atmosphere of Salem, the ridiculousness of the Sanderson sisters 😭 It had SO MUCH personality. No wonder why this is such an iconic Halloween film for so many of you! And BINX 😭 With how much I was just laughing & shocked at 99% of the dialogue in this one (90s Disney was cooking LOL) I ended up shedding a few tears at the end there.. I loved watching him finally get set free and find peace after centuries of grief over losing his sister. I think what I loved the most tho was that it felt like a perfect time capsule of what Halloween felt like as a kid. Roaming the neighborhood going from door to door in hoards with other kids. The friendliness of people to just open their doors to strangers & let them in. We don't live in those times anymore 😩 And if you listened to my little rant in the intro about Halloween 'times' that are now forced on us.. I kind of feel sad that my daughter won't get that feeling that I had back in the 90s during Halloween. Now we have to check every piece of candy, only get 2 hours to be out during very specific dates.. Reminds me a bit of V for Vendetta if we're being real honest LOLANYWAYS. This movie was awesome. Definitely won't be letting my daughter watch it until like middle school 😅🏫But I had so much fun & I'm glad we wrapped up October with some laughs/nostalgia!🎃 Happy Spooky Month, Patreon!(I'm out trick or treating & up against the time but I wanted to get this out to you all so I'll post the sync link later or just leave this one out!)

Im excited to watch this. This was a classic movie growing up. I still watch it every year. To get over Spooktober I think a movie you should watch is Second Hand Lions. I put it right up there with the Sandlot

Chuckles1004

Nice fun, not so scary movie to end Spooktober. Thank You. Any Halloween Cosplay Kali?

James Park

I actually missed this one growing up, im guessing unlike the ring i can watch this at night

Edgar Gonzalez

I imagine this movie was very healing after the trauma spooktober caused thus far😭

Will you watch Hocus Pocus 2? Hocus Pocus 2 came out in 2022

Halloween has changed for the worse. Covid contributed to a lot of it around me, once everyone got out of lockdowns my corner of the world shifted to Trunk or Treats where everyone gathers in a big parking lot and hands out candy to kids around the area that show up for the festivities. It takes a lot of the fun of dressing up as kids and going door to door. But regardless everything happens on actual Halloween, it’s strange for your area to shift it to Thursday! And yes…..90s Disney definitely cooked different, as a kid you didn’t catch the real meaning of jokes but as an adult going back and watching you laugh for a whole different reason 🤣

JeRon Washington

Are you, and your husband gonna dress up for Halloween? I'm sure your daughter is gonna dress up, who is she gonna be? I'm gonna be a vampire and my wife is gonna be superman

Bridget

I don’t watch a lot of modern tv, but at my brothers house my SiL was watching NCIS and I was like “holy shit, it’s Thackeray Binx!”

Edgar Gonzalez

Just heard that Patrick Stewart just passed away... R.I.P Patrick Stewart 🙏

2026-10-30 11:00 alright kali, this is where i have to tap out. the ring? scream? silence of the lambs? i could handle all those, but hocus pocus? im afraid this is where i have to skip, its too spooky for me 😩 but no, this ones a lot of fun. my mom taped this off the tv and we watched it every year. just a classic, fun, silly movie. also, glad a cat is a hero. cats usually get the short end of the stick in any media so i gotta take the small victories when they come. go binx! also, i love the "we got a new cat!" when they get home, thats such a kid thing to do and now suddenly the family has a cat. xD also, thats dumb that your city is doing that, especially on a school night. but hope you have a nice time anyways!

That's actually crazy the city is not only trying to put a curfew but even changing which night Halloween can happen. Thankfully it's not like that up here in Canada (Toronto specifically) but it's still not perfect. It's been dying for the last decade, at this point kids barely go out trick-or-treating. Loads of houses don't decorate at all, just leaving their lights off. I still obviously love Halloween now but I truly miss the Halloween of this era. Every house was decorated, loads of people were out until late at night trick-or-treating. We actually use to just take pillow cases out as our bags and could typically fill at least two of them. Even as I aged out of the trick-or-treating I remember helping my friend scare the kids at his house. I miss the 90s and 00s so much. Halloweentown is another Disney Halloween movie. Obviously I haven't watched it in ages but I remember it being like 10 and under friendly. Might be worth seeing if you can watch it with your daughter.

I vote you please put a link to the syncalong. The audio is bad on these because it cuts the movie's volume in half whenever you speak and it is soooooo distracting, to that point where (for me) it is unwatchable. I hope you post the sync version because this is the Halloween movie I wanted to see. :(

Jose Morales

Glad you enjoyed this. I grew up watching this and The Nightmare Before Christmas every spooky season. Some jokes didn't land until I got a tad older, but still discreet enough.

kaliwali

OMG this whole time I THOUGHT he looked so familiar. it's freakin special agent McGee!! 🤯

kaliwali

Okay. I'll have it up tomorrow sometime!

TheJoeKerr

one of the few Halloween movies I actually like to watch. I’ve never watched the new one tho that they made.

Dude Longcouch

I saw this in the movie theater with my mom when I was 8 years old... my main memory is turning to her after the credits rolled and asking, "Mom, what's a virgin?" and her being like "Uhhhhhhhhhh 😅😅😅" lmao

Dude Longcouch

Also, waiting patiently for the sync link. I know they don't get a ton of use anymore but it's the only way I can watch, so it's still pretty important to me.

M1STERxBR0WN

I was 9 years old when this movie came out and I remember seeing it in theaters 😅

Eric Capretta

This is a must watch for me every Halloween since I was a kid! So I'm actually in Salem this year for Halloween for work and it is pretty crazy here. The amount of people and decorations and the costumes is more than I've seen anywhere and it isn't even Halloween yet lol. I'm driving back home the day before Halloween though so I won't see it on the day of

Paul Wright

I love Secondhand Lions. Great coming of age movie. Michael Caine, Robert Duvall, Haley Joel Osment.

brandondavillan

Yes such a great movie! I looked through her movie catalog and saw that she hasn't reacted to it yet

I kind of understand bumping it if it's a Friday night; HS football games, parents might be busy, etc. But Saturday? There's an OSU game on Saturday, but it's away. And like, okay, I live 40 minutes outside Columbus. So whoop-di-do. Even for home games, traffic is only an issue immediately around the stadium. And trick or treat is for the real residential neighborhoods, not campus area. Some people claim it's about drunk drivers. Which... fine... ? Block off streets then. And, for example, my normal commute this evening took me straight through a trick-or-treat in one town. Because it's on a WORK DAY AT 5:30. Absurd. But my BIGGEST complaint is doing it so goddamn early. A lot of places, it's already done before it's even dark! That's ridiculous. I agree, do Halloween on Halloween and after dark. That's half the fun.

Robert da Spruce

Trick-or-treat on Thursday? WTF? That’s weird First the construction work until 2AM. Now Halloween on Thursday. Even though it falls on a Satruday. The city you live in is weird 😉 I’m glad that we don’t have any of that here. Though Halloween isn’t as big as when I grew up Tons of kids used to roam the neighborhoods. Getting tons of candy. And you’d come home and sort all your loot 😄 Now it’s all very regimented. Kids always with their parents. Go trick-or-treating from 6-7PM. Just to neighbors you know… Still fun, but kinda lost that innocence of yesteryear

The Dingo

Thank you, queen of reactions!

I've never been attracted to Sarah Jessica Parker but Sarah Sanderson had a formitive impact on 5 year old me lol
