Man I wanna read comics I just have no idea where to start, i even know some series I want to read comic book stores (at least the one I went to) are just so unorganized just like unlabeled cardboard boxes all over. no comics in order or like even separated into like this is Marvel this is DC. Just random comics in boxes.

This will sound horrible but has to do with what Ted said about being called boss. When I did youth ministry one of the youth kids who was African American wanted to mow my grass over the summer to earn extra money because his mother wanted him to get a job. I was pretty laid back about everything, he would mow it every other week and on the off weeks we would just hang out and play guitar hero and talk etc. The kid's dad died when he was young and I sort of became his father figure. Anyways, as a joke, when he would cut the grass and be on the mower he would call me master. I know this sounds horrible but he did it as a joke to make the older people in the church uncomfortable. Also when my wife was pregnant with my oldest daughter he would say things like, just wait when that baby comes out black. It was pretty funny.

The beauty is that, while it may sound scary to pick something up and be confused and have so many questions, those questions are a powerful hook. Lot of people got into it by doing intense wikipedia rabbit holes, and finding the answers. Even now, half my life later, I get a little dopamine hit whenever I learn something new about an obscure character. So really, there is no bad starting point. For almost the entire 20th century kids picked up random issues off the shelves and they didn't even have the internet to help.

The racist Goku bit reminded me of a bit I have with my friends that I call Voicemail Goku. The bit's pretty simple, it's just doing a really subdued voice and going: "Hey, it's me, Goku...Anyway, I was just calling you back about—" and then it just kinda goes from there.
