I'm almost sure what Alex described as "pizza pie" is just chicago deep dish style.

omg alex just sent me down a rabbit hole of racist looney tunes. I remember some of them but there are so many more. the 1 little 2 little 3 little reference seems to be from a tweety bird and granny called battle of fort freeland https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8KC7NtlVDs

There’s nothing like finishing an episode just to start a new one. I’m still playing the hollow bastion music in my head

Jamonpanzon

Isn’t that just a bigger calzone?

DFTGamer

If I remember correctly from the last live action loony tunes movie the head of the ACME corporation is an evil Steve Martin who wants to turn the population of the planet into capuchian monkeys.

While I understand that a lot of churches try to convince their members to give by using flawed logic, not all churches do that. Plus, if the church just asks to those who can spare the money to give to the church and back it up with verses and scripture instead of logic and vague psuedo-business science like Ted described. (those verses would likely from Psalms and Proverbs, as well as a few from the Gospels as that is where the non-literal and non-hyper-specific tithing concepts come from, unlike the literal and hyper-specific ones from Leviticus and parts of Exodus) There's that, and also the fact that there wouldn't be food on my table if it weren't for donations from fellow believers to my Dad's organization (Young Life Capernaum, a ministry to teens and young adults with developmental and behavioral disabilities like Autism[which I have, ableit high functioning vs. the low-functioning variant that would be sought out by Capernaum], Cerebral Palsy[which my older sister has a severe diagnosis of], or Down Syndrome). Now, I wish I could say this face to face so I could be as respectful as possible when saying this and also to not come off as attacking the Bros' or any Patrons' beliefs, but I will say that the benefit of ministry means nothing to those who are not saved by Christ, which is perfectly okay! I don't expect anyone reading this to be convinced of the same things I am, nor do I want them to believe I'm preaching at them, but I think it's important to note that if you are a believer, then the Love of God should make you so joyful and generous that you would give to help spread His word, and it wouldn't take convincing via flawed financial logic with traces of health-wealth-and-prosperity "gospel" to compel a believer to give. Also, I understand that it seems like I am a fool amongst my fellow congregation of fools that I go to a building with on Sundays, but, and again I CANNOT EMPHASIZE HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS THAT I COME OFF AS NOT TRYING TO BASH OR DISRESPECT YOU ALL OR YOUR BELIEFS, I don't expect the Word of God to fall on deaf ears. A true Christian (yes, I know I'm commiting the "Every True Scotsman" fallacy, but that's a whole other thesis of a comment I could write, which I don't care to right now) would not view anyone who choses not to listen and respond to God's Message as lesser than themselves, but they would just see them as someone who has simply chosen the wrong path. Sorry for the rant, but this is a personal matter on many levels, and I'm autistic, so I don't know how to shut up. Plus, I always get upset whenever Brett specifically bashes the Church, because so much of the wise things he has taught me have helped me to apply his teachings to my faith life and have helped me grow as a Christian.

I remember the passing of the offering plate at church.

There's a church here in Georgia that in order to attend you have to give them a copy of your W2 so they know what to take in order for you to attend
