I feel like a douche correcting Jirard. But in fact, Sonic 3 had Super Sonic only. When Sonic and Knuckles came out, and Knuckles was playable, both Sonic and Knuckles can become "Super" with the Chaos Emeralds. While when collecting all the Super Emeralds, Sonic and Knuckles become "Hyper" but Tails only (FINALLY) becomes "Super" when collecting the Super Emeralds.

Is the video not playing properly for anyone else? It's buffering just fine, but it's stalling like mad. Edit: Nvm, for whatever reason, my earbuds cause it and the sound to break. That's...weird.
